"But doesn't the Bible condemn homosexuality?"

John soon discovered that Samuel Seabury was definitely a peculiar character. The small redhead seemed to always be cheerful no mater what, which Laurens found quite disturbing if he was being honest. How can you feel alright everyday of your life? Does he faces no burdens or does he lies to himself every morning after he wakes up?

To John, Samuel was like a rare specimen. He wanted to crack his skull open and see inside his brain. Was he this happy because he had "Jesus in his life"? Was he just crazy? Wait, no, that's John. He almost forgot again.

"We–Well, I mean, the Bible says a lot of s–s–stuff that doesn't really make sense, s–so I just choose to believe in the main message! Love thy neighbor as you love thyself" Samuel quoted.

Since I hate myself, does that give me the right to be an jerk? John thought.

"So you don't mind that I have a boyfriend?"

"Nope! I–I think everyone has the right to love w–whoever they want the same way Jesus loves all of us unconditionally!"

The ghost of a smile passed through John's lips, Samuel was very nice to be around.

This also meant that he could rant about how perfect Alexander was to him.

"My Pretty Boy is beautiful, y'know? He's just so... so kind, and wonderful, and sweet and caring, and also very handsome. Very pretty. I love him" John found himself saying.

"Does he sup–support you? With your p–problem?"

Ah, right, the "demon".

"Oh, yeah. He's always there for me. Always has and always will"

Always.

"Pretty Boy?" John called as he entered the dark dorm room.

"Hey beautiful" He heard Alexander mumble. He was sitting on a corner of the bed, his knees pressed against his chest and his phone being held tightly on his hands, producing the only light in the room.

Happy to see his boyfriend, John skipped toward Alexander and jumped into the bed. He crawled besides him and placed his chin on Alexander's shoulder.

"Who are you texting?" John asked carefully.

"James"

"Your brother?" Alexander nodded mutely.

"Does he ever text back?" John asked him. He had seen Alexander text his brother many times but he never seemed to text back.

"No" Alexander answered with a grim expression on his face. "He kinda hates me"

John gasped out of pure horror. "How could anyone hate you!?"

His boyfriend smiled for a second and leaned into John, happy that at least he didn't know the worst part of him. "I did something very bad a long time ago, I scared him away and he never forgave me. I still hold hope y'know, that someday he will stop leaving me on read and actually answers me"

John scoffed. "I'm sure it can't be that bad, Pretty Boy. You're not a bad person, I'm sure he'll forgive you. And if he doesn't, well.." He doesn't deserve you.

Alexander turned his head and gave John a long and loud kiss on his temple. "I love you, you know that right?"

John nodded enthusiastically. "I know, Pretty Boy. I love you too. I adore you" The brown haired boy smiled and kissed him once more before turning back to his phone.

Okay, maybe sneaking into someone's dorm room wasn't something that she should be doing, but Maria was sure there was something weird about John. Aside from, you know, the whole mental institution stuff and the disturbing drawings in the walls and his apparent incapability of remembering names and the lies and those times in which he seemed to turn off his emotions or some weird shit like that.

Just that, you know?

She first checked the most obvious spot, under the bed, and found nothing but some disturbingly erotic drawings of Alexander her lesbian eyes wished they had never seen. On the drawers were more drawings that she didn't even dare to look at, cans of beer that weren't in the mini fridge for some reason, a sippy cup, and paint.

Lastly, she looked under the mattress, because why not?

She lifted it carefully and caught a glimpse of a old and worn out notebook and a fairly familiar phone, she was about to grab them when she heard voices outside the door and the sound of keys. She panicked for a second before jumping out the window.

Lucky her the dorm was on the first floor.
