The bell rang and Keith got out his phone as he was walking out his class. He opened Instagram looking at any new posts. He maneuvered the halls making his way to Pidge's class.

When he got there the classroom was dark and Pidge was nowhere to be seen. He got out her contact info on his phone and called her.

...Calling Smol Pidgeon...

"What up biatch?"

"Pidge where are you?"

"Uhh cafeteria why?"

"What do you mean why?"

"I mean why did you want to kno-" Pidge slapped her face thinking of how dumb she is.

"Pidg-"

"No, ya I-I got it. Are you close to the cafeteria yet?"

"Ya I just passed the photography class." Keith looked into the classroom. "Hmm, is Lance with you."

"No, I saw him going home early."

"Thatsss weird." Keith dragged out the S.

"Huh. Whys that?"

"N-nothing Pidge. See you in a bit."

Keith walked into the cafeteria walking over to Pidge who was talking to someone he couldn't recognize. You could tell by her face she was not having it.

Keith stated to walk up to her when his phone buzzed. He pulled out his phone seeing a text from Shiro.

Bro beans:
I'm picking you up today from your school. Dad is home and she wanted to have 'a nice family dinner'.

Keith texted back an ok. Pidge noticed Keith and swatted away the boy talking to her.

"What was that all about?" Keith asked pointing to the boy.

"Oh superman is the best you're just a girl what do you know." Pidge said mockingly.

Keith chuckled and rolled his eyes cause Pidge could have a 2 day rant as to why Superman was stupid, showed bad writing and doesn't deserve shit.

"Well he better step up to your level Pidge." Pidge smiled and turned to where the boy was standing. And yelled, "Hey Brian!" He turned "Fuck you peasant!" Then she flipped him off.

Keith wasn't expecting that but he really should've cause it's Pidge. He smacked her hand down scolding her about being rude.

"Don't worry Keith, we have a lot of arguments. Look" they both turned to Brian who was also flipping her off. But a teacher saw him and now he's getting a talking to by her.

Pidge laughed and pointed but Keith didn't want to be apart of this so he pushed Pidge outside.

Pidge started to walk their usual route but Keith remembered his brother and stopped her.

"Uh Pidge I'm not walking home, sorry my brother is picking me up for family dinner. " Pidge frowned.

"But I don't want to walk alone." Pidge kicked a pebble at her feet.

"Hey guys." Someone said behind them. Pidge yelped and turned to the new voice.

"Hunk!" Pidge yelled and hugged him.
"Don't you have robotics?" Pidge asked looking behind him.

"Uh no. I don't Mr. Coran has to go somewhere today. Some family thing."

"Hey Pidge look now you have a buddy to walk home with."

Pidge debated that but Hunk spoke up before she could, "actually I took my mom's car here cause she's stayed at home today. " Pidge smiled,"ah hell ya."

"Ooh we can play dungeons and dragons." Hunk turned to Pidge and shook his head yes.

Hunk turned to Keith, "so where's Lance? I thought you to made up or something."

Keith shook his head, "ya we did, although I wouldn't really call it 'made up'-" he was interrupted by Pidge.

"You could call it 'made out'."

"Pidge stop." Keith said frowning.

"What?"

"Go on Keith." Hunk told him putting a hand on his shoulder.

"But we're on good terms, I think. But I don't know where he is." He pointed his thumb to Pidge. "Pidge said that he left early."

They both looked at Pidge, "what? He did, he had a note and went to the office."

"I'll try to call him when I get home." Hunk said. He nudged Pidge signaling that they should leave and they started for his mom's car.

"Bye Keith!" They both yelled.

"Bye guys."

He started to walk to the front of the school but was almost ran over by a truck.

"What the fuck" he turned and looked who it was. Of course, it was Shiro who was laughing at him.

"Hahaha" Keith said mockingly, "asshole."

Keith got into the car and switched the station. Shiro scrunched up his face at the music and turned to Keith.

"Really Keith Emo Hour?"

Shiro might be complaining but by the time they got to the restaurant they were both jamming out to Green Day.

They pulled up to Chile's and got out. Keith rolled his eyes because they go here almost every time they go out to eat. He never really understood the Takashi family's love for it.

Keith wasn't as close to his adopted dad so talking to him really just consisted of awkward silences. Keith also never really got to come out to his parents yet, Shiro knew, Keith told him while he was breaking down and Shiro was comforting him. Sure Shiro reacted smoothly but would his parents. But even though he never formally came out to them he was sure his mom could guess he wasn't fully straight.

Shiro and Keith walked in the restaurant and found their parent talking to each other in a small booth.

"And my goodness you should have seen her face it was so funn-. Oh hey boys." Keith's mom, who goes by Lilian was telling her husband all the things he missed when Shiro and Keith walked up. Keith's father stood up to hug the two boys.

"Oh my goodness you two are getting so big." He patted Shiro's back. "I mean look at this muscle."

Keith's mom snickered, "and it's all going to go away if he keeps lazying around playing Mario Cart and eating junk food." Their father laughed along too, shaking his head.

"And you Keith, so big. You got a girlfriend?" Keith smiled scratching the back of his head.

"Uhh, no." Shiro was hiding a laugh.

"Well I would think the ladies would be all over a man like you."

"Eh eh uh no."

Mr. Takashi turned to Shiro, "what about you, son?"

"No, I've been...busy."

"Busy laying around I bet."

They all sat down as the waiter came over to get their drinks.

They talked until it was 9, and always managed to keep it lighthearted.

Then they all headed home.

Halfway home someone texted Keith.

Have you texted Lance yet, he never picked up our calls.

Halo?

He whispered a 'shit' underneath his breath.

He quickly opened Lance's contact and texted Lance.

Hey where were you after school, Pidge said you went home early??
