"So Elsie why are you here with us today instead of being in school?" Clyde asked now standing next to me. His golden eyes and dark hair contrast greatly from his pink lips and sparkling white teeth. The way the sun reflects off his lip ring and eyebrow stud. I am quite taken by him. His voice is smooth as he talks and his lips stretch into a perfect lopsided smirk.

"Long story short- that hellhole is the bane of my existence and I would rather hang out with you than be there any day." I said watching the last of the joint get squashed into the dirt under Ashton's boot.

"Agreed." Violet groans as she nuzzles into Ashton's chest and smiles lazily. She took more hits on the joint than I did.

"Well we're glad you're here." Clyde says smiling fully. He has an adorable smile. It contradicts his harsh look but that makes it even better. I look around and everyone nods. To be wanted is an unknown sensation. I love the rush I feel as all eyes are on me and they haven't got any disgust in them.

"Yeah its-," Just as I'm about to continue my phone buzzes and draw my eyes to the lit screen.

Harry.

Why the fuck is he calling me?

He made it perfectly clear who he was earlier so why would he even bother.

I hit ignore and slip it back into my pocket.

"Do you guys wanna hit that party at Trips?" Daniel asks leaning against a tree.

"Sounds cool enough." Emmy says running a hand through her blonde locks.

"Yeah let's do it." Violet says. This is probably when I go home. Great I will have to return to reality.

"Well it was really great to meet you guys." I said giving a slight wave.

"Elsie where are you off to?" Clyde asked grabbing my wrist and spinning me back around.

"I thought- well- um..." I laughed at my awkwardness and closed my eyes, "I just thought I wasn't invited..." I trail off. Wow that was stupid.

"You are most definitely invited." He says smiling down at me as I sigh in relief that I will have a little longer in this place, away from reality and in the abyss of- what- happiness? Maybe...

"Okay." I smile biting my lip and stopping myself from grinning like an idiot.

"Come on." He says taking my hand and walking towards the others.

"And where were you running off to Wrenn?" Violet asks smirking.

"Nowhere Mathers." I laugh. Actually laugh I haven't felt this- What the hell?!

I am cut off my train of thought with my phone vibrating repeatedly. I check the caller I.D. and I am surprised that I still see Harry's name across the screen.

Why is he calling me?

Does he want to throw insults at me too?

Because I wouldn't throw that past him.

Nothing babe. Absolutely nothing...

I shutter as his words from before and swallow the lump in my throat.
