Harry grasped my hand and led me down the- oh so famous- path. My body aches and cracks as we walk along the parking lot. The sky is darkening and I don't know how long we were there but now the sky has its setting glow and everything feels colder and deserted.

The only thing keeping me in reality is the pain in my body and my bag laying idle on the path. Just where it was knocked from my grasp.

I climb into the passenger seat and grab my phone out of my bag.

Seventeen missed calls from Violet...

Six voicemails from Violet...

Nine texts... from- wait for it- Violet!

All consisting of the same type of message.

Where the fuck are you?? You're scaring the shit out of me.

Something ignites in me when I realize how worried she is. The trust I have developed for her can't be challenged at this point. She is there for me like no one has been in a long time.

I decide to end her panic and reply. Something in me feels lighter and no one could hurt me in this moment.

I got caught up with something but I'm okay and Harry is taking care of me

I smile down at my phone and lay it down on my lap.

The small piece of metal that I barely use vibrates and I see that Violet responded.

Next time you're going on a little trip with Curly tell me I don't think you're MIA. Anyway have fun ;) P.s. I still think he's a dick.

I laugh at her message and power down my phone before resting it on my lap once again creating a nice heated spot on my jeans. It's cold...

When I turn to ask Harry how much longer, like an impatient little four year old... might I add- he's in a little fit on his own.

Harry's jaw is clenched and his eyes narrowed at the road and I am taken aback by his change in demeanor.

"Are you okay?" I ask the brooding curly haired boy sitting to my left. My hand rests on his knee softly.

"No." He shakes his head, "A-Alex needs to stop." He hisses, stuttering from so much anger boiling in him.

"Whoa Harry calm down." I say as his knuckles turn white on the steering wheel and his eyes gloss, "Pull over the car." I say softly as possible.

"No we're going back to mine." He protests.

"Pull over the car." I urge. The road we're taking isn't very popular and it uses back roads that I don't recognize.

Harry pulls the car to the side and turns to me, raising his eyebrows.

"There's nothing we can do now." I say softly looking down at my lap, "Please can we just not talk about Alex or... any of them?" I was going to say Jane but I still don't know where she is in this equation.

"But Else." He takes my hands in his and runs his thumb over my knuckles, "He hurt you- more than I should have let happen and I won't let it happen anymore." His face is riddled with so many emotions it's hard to decode it. Sadness smothers his glassy eyes and anger takes his clenched jaw. The only hint of pain I see in him is the slight crease in his brow and the nervous movement of his beautiful jade eyes.
