Chapter 25

A/N: We made it to 100!!!

"Yang, you don't need to do this," Blake said, sitting in the car holding the manuscript she had shown me.

"Blake, this is going to be a big achievement for you in your life. Besides, think of it as a present."

"Present? For what?"

"Your birthday," I said smiling at her.

"I completely forgot about my birthday."

"How can you forget about your own birthday?"

"It happens a lot."

I scratched behind her cat ear, earning a purr from her, "Silly, Blake."

I pulled into the parking lot and we got out of the car. We walked into the office building. The receptionist sitting behind the desk looked up.

"Do you have a meeting scheduled?"

"A friend of mine knows who I am."

"And your friend is?"

"Pyrrha Nikos."

"Ah. Ms. Nikos. I will let her know you're here. Name?"

"Yang Xiao Long."

"Ah, Ms. Xiao Long. So nice to see you again. It's been quite some time."

"It has been. We need to catch up sometime."

"I would love to have coffee at the coffee shop from down the street."

"Sign me up."

Pyrrha walked out and greeted us, "Yang. So nice to see you. Come on back."

We walked back into her office and sat down. I could see Blake was nervous. I rested my hand on her leg and whispered to her.

"It'll be ok."

"What do we have here?" Pyrrha asked.

"This is Blake. My girlfriend."

"Nice to meet you, Blake."

"Nice to meet you, Pyrrha."

"I see you're holding a manuscript. May I see it?"

Blake handed her the papers and flipped through them. A wide smile appeared on Pyrrha's face. She placed the papers on her desk and looked at Blake.

"It looks like it was already edited by a professional editor. As well proof read. All we need to do is get you a cover design and dedication page. Afterwards, it'll be formatting and then publication is the final step."

"How long do you think it would be?" Blake asked.

"That all depends on the staff I assign to make the cover and format everything. I have one question for you."

"Go ahead."

"Do you want to use your own name? Or a pen name?"

"I'd rather use a pen name."

"Do you have one in mind?"

"Yes. I want to be under the name of B.R. Orchid."

"A very interesting pen name. I think it'll work."

After about an hour of talking, Pyrrha and Blake made an agreement. We said goodbye and left.

"This calls for a celebration. I'll call up Weiss and Rub and see if they would like to meet us for a drink or something."

"Aren't they in Atlas?"

"They're staying here for a week. Weiss' favorite music group is here. Ruby is taking her to see them. They got VIP passes and stuff."
