A couple of months had passed when Blake and I were finally on speaking terms. It took a lot of talking, arguing, and a lot of promises for us to get back to speaking with each other. I had asked her to meet Adam, after I told her that I was able to accept their relationship. At first, Blake was skeptically about it, but agreed. Ruby and Weiss were there to help me persuade Blake, since they saw that we had issues with each other a few months ago. That was the first time Ruby has ever saw me slip into a small state of depression.

"I'm glad you two are speaking to each other," Ruby said as we were walking to the bus stop in a cool March morning.

"Me too. You really saw me starting to slip?" I asked.

"I never want to see that happen again," Ruby said.

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"For getting Blake to the house and for us to figure things out. I never meant to hurt her in the way I did. I should never do that again."

"Please don't."

"I know my mistakes now, Ruby. And I made her a promise."

"And that was?"

"That I will always be there to protect her. I will forever be her guardian."

"That's a cute promise."

"And I am going to fulfill it."

The bus came to the stop and picked us up. Ruby sat with Weiss and I sat with Blake.

"You still coming over today after school? Adam is going to be there. I know how much you'd like to meet him face to face," Blake said.

"Yep. I can't wait to meet him."

We both smiled at each other.

After school was over, I got off the bus with Blake and headed to her house. Which she lived in a fairly large house compared to ours. Her mother and father weren't home. They were going to pick Adam up at the airport. So Blake and I sat around, waiting for them to return, when they did, Blake was excited to see Adam. When he walked in, I expected his guy to be around 6' 10", black hair, nice eyes, and a nice build. What I got was a guy with red hair, bull horns, 6' 4", a mask over his eyes, and a slim build. He was wearing a black coat with a rose on the back.

"Hello, my darling."

"Hi, Adam. This is my friend, Yang. She's really excited to meet you."

"This is the lovely, Yang? So nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you, too," I faked a smile.

"Love, what should we do?"

"We can do whatever you want, Adam."

He smiled, "Perfect."

When it was starting to roll towards 8pm, I finally decided to reveal Adam to Blake. It wasn't going to be easy, but she had to start a conversation about love and marriage. It was easy to slip into a conversation like that, but it wasn't easy to slip in the facts about Adam.

"So, do you guys think you'll marry each other?" I asked.

"I would love to. Adam and I have been dating for a while now."

"And I would want my love to have the best in her life."

"Says the guy who's cheating on her," I said.

He looked over and glared at me. Blake looked over and had the same glare, "I thought you approved of our relationship!"

"I do. But I told you there was something off about Adam. And I found out what. He's been cheating on you, Blake. On another Faunus in Vacuo."

"How do you know this?" Blake asked.

"The night you left me, he called my phone and threatened me. He revealed his true colors to me. He said he was dating a girl back at Shade. And the reason he was ignorning you was because he didn't want you to find out."

Blake turned her head at Adam, "Is this true?"

"Of course not! She must be lying."

"I think you're the one who's lying, Adam," Blake said.

"But, sweetheart, I will love you forever and always."

"Get the fuck out, Adam. I don't want a cheating ass like you here."

Adam sneered and grabbed his belongings. Before he walked out of the door, he turned towards me, "I promise, Yang, this won't be taken lightly by me. I will get my revenge." He swivled around and walked out of the door.

I looked at Blake, who had her eyes directed towards the ground.

"You must hate me right now because of this. I just thought you deserved the right to know about Adam."

"Yang."

"I'll leave if you want me to."

I got up, but her hand grabbed mine. I looked behind my back and saw that she was looking up at me.

"Thank you."

I smiled and sat down next to her, "I'll do anything for you. I'll be here to protect you."

A few hours passed by and Blake was passed out on my shoulder. I slowly crawled my hand towards hers. I entwined it with mine and smiled up at the ceiling. A few moments passed by and her hand gripped around mine. Inside, my heart was beating rapidly. The feelings I once had came springing back. It was like they never left in the first place. I rested my head on hers and felt her bow poking into my cheek. I had never realized that she had a bow on, and I've known her for about a year now. With my free hand, I reached towards the bow and untied it. Underneath, there were a pair of cat ears. I smiled to myself, thinking it was the cutest thing ever. I rested my head atop of hers and looked out the window. This was everything I had wished for. Hopefully, Blake has feelings back.

In the morning, I found that Blake was no longer by my side. Her mother was sitting in the chair across from the couch.

"How you feeling, dear?" she asked.

"Alright. Where's Blake?"

"Upstairs getting ready."

Shit! I forgot it was a school night. I grabbed my bag and went towards the door, "Thank you, Mrs. Belladonna for having me over."

"It was a pleasure. You better hurry, the bus should be here in thirty minutes."

I nodded and headed out of the house. There was a shortcut that lead directly to my house. When I reached my house, I got changed and made it out of the door in time with Ruby.

"What happened last night."

"I'll tell you later," I said as the bus was pulling up to the stop.
