A/N: This is going to be long and a spinoff off or something along the lines of Beauty and the Beast. I hope you guys enjoy!! It will go back and forth between perspectives.

"Look at me, Ruby! Do you think anyone would fall in love with this?" I sneered.

"You just never know, Yang. Someone might love you for what's on the inside. Not on the outside."

I huffed and stalked towards her, "I don't think anyone would want to fall in love with a scaly, snake-eyed, sharp-toothed, clawed beast!"

"Well when you put it like that, it makes it sound like you're a beast."

"That's because I am one!"

"Dragon."

"Same thing!"

"Listen, I'm going to head out. Want me to get you anything?"

"Some love."

Ruby chuckled, "I can't get you that. I know you can leave when the morning comes around. But face it, never go outside when that sun kisses the horizon."

"Ruby, I know how this works. But I have two more years until this spell becomes permanent."

"I know, Yang. Just get your mind off of things and go visit the nearby village. Who knows, maybe you'll find someone there."

"Love you, Ruby. Don't get eaten while you're out there."

"I make no promises," Ruby smirked.

"Blake, could you get me that tea set that one customer ordered?" Kali called from underneath the counter.

"Sure, mom."

My mother owned a tea shop. It was famous for its hand painted kettles and tea cups. Along with the cup to hold the sugar and the saucers. My friend Ilia is the one who takes the time to hand paint each and every item in the entire set. Today was on of the days where our best customer had requested the one Ilia had just finished putting the coat on.

"Here you go, Blake," Ilia said, placing the tea set into its box.

"Thanks, Ilia."

I picked up the box just as the man walked in, "Kali! So nice to see you."

"Nice to see you, Mr. Lionheart. I supposed you're here to pick up your tea set."

"I am."

"Here you are, Mr. Lionheart."

"Thank you kindly, Blake. And here is what I owe you, Kali."

My mother flipped through it to make sure it was the right amount. Her cat ears flicked as she looked up at Lionheart, "This is more than you owe us."

"Bit of a tip. Since I've bought your tea sets for over thirteen years now."

"I can't accept it, Mr. Lionheart."

"Please, Kali. I insist. You can get Ms. Ilia some more paint."

My mother smiled, "Thank you, Mr. Lionheart."

"Please, Kali. Call me Leo."

"Thank you, Leo."

"And thank you, Kali."

Leo walked out and my mother handed me the extra lien he handed her, "Can you get some more paint, Blake?"

"Sure."

I sighed as I watched Ruby walk away from the house. It was pretty big, considering my father was the ruler of this small area. It wasn't a castles, per say, but it also wasn't a mansion. It was a mix of both to be honest. I got up, grabbed a few things, and headed down towards the market. Hopefully I would find something to occupy me when Ruby left for the trade market. When I got down there, a few people were whispering about me. I shrugged them off and headed towards a booth that Ruby had shown me a few years ago. I walked up and saw that there was another girl standing there. She had silk like hair that was black, a bow atop her head, a shirt and knee length skirt, and a white apron wrapped around her waist.
