After visiting Death Mountain, we continued our journey to Zora Domain since it was so close. While we traveled on horseback, I tried to work on Daruk's garb, but my new horse wouldn't allow it. It was still wild and not used to having a rider on its back.

Nonetheless, my time traveling was not wasted as I enjoyed the scenery around me as we went along green forests and away from the heat of Death Mountain. I especially loved the path that led up to Zora Domain when darkness fell. The lanterns that lit our path had an interesting quality to them, made from luminous stone if I recalled correctly. Plus we passed by some old records of the Zora that were found throughout the path. Many of the words were illegible, but I read them anyway.

Once we reached Zora Domain, we were escorted to some beds in their inn. It was too late in the night to awaken the King or Princess Mipha. Surprisingly, I found sleep easily that night. Perhaps it was the soothing sound of the waterfalls around me. I didn't care though, as I desperately wanted some rest.

It felt like only minutes had passed when my eyes opened again. The only thing that told me it was morning was the rising sun. I stretched and then climbed out of the welcoming bed. I had work to do.

The two guards were already up making themselves some breakfast. They kindly handed me a plate of food that they prepared for me. I thanked them and sat down to eat the beautifully cooked fish.

Once I was finished, it was time to meet with the King as his trusty advisor, Seggin, came to get us. He was undoubtingly more grumpy than Muzu was. A scowl was always on his face. I haven't heard him laugh or crack a smile. As the leading Captain of the Royal Guard in Zora Domain, it wasn't shocking that he was strict.

I did know that, like Muzu, he cared a great deal for Mipha. He even taught her how to use a spear. She was very lucky to have them both as teachers along with her father. I always found it funny how close our lives were, but at the same time, how different it was.

We had both lost our mothers and were princesses in this land. Then we both were to gain sacred powers, forgetting the part that I still hadn't received mine. And finally, we were facing the same path towards Calamity Ganon. The biggest difference in our stories was that she had a choice in accepting her role and that she could use her responsibility to her crown as an escape. My crown only tied me to it, never letting go.

"Come along, Princess," he mumbled as he started to walk to the long set of stairs that led to the throne room.

I followed him up the stairs with the guards rushing to catch up as they stuffed the rest of their breakfast into their mouths. I could only pray that they swallowed before the King caught them with puffed-up cheeks. However, the Zora King usually had a good sense of humor, so I wasn't too worried that the guards would get tossed into the waters below.

Once we reached the throne room, the King sat waiting for us with the adorable Prince Sidon by his side. There was no sign of Mipha. I bowed, pushing the thought away.

"King Dorephan, I have come to collect your daughter's answer to our request," I said. Then as I rose again, I asked, "May I inquire where is she?"

"She is up by Ploymus Mountain keeping a lookout for the Lynel. He's been spotted up there recently and she wants to be extra careful," he responded, then he added, "You should know, Princess Zelda, no matter what answer my daughter tells you that it is not her final say. As her father and king, it has to be under my permission."

"Then may I ask what your thoughts are?"

His eyes glanced over at Seggin's. "I haven't decided yet, but both Muzu and Seggin are strongly against the idea of her becoming one of the Champions."
