Chapter 17

My neck was hurting like hell. Probably because i slept on a chair. I opened my eyes and saw Alec looking at me

"You stood here the whole night?" He asked furrowing his eyebrows

"Yeah" I yawned and stretched my arms.

"Why didn't you sleep in the bed?"

"I didn't want to bother you, i guess." He opened his mouth to say something but i spoke before he could "what do you want to eat?"

"Whatever you do"

"Ok. I'll be right back" i ordered the food and went back to his room but before i could open the door another nurse came to me

"He's in the shower right now, he'll be back in a few minutes" she smiled

"Ok, thank you. I'll wait inside" she nodded and opened the door for me. I was really hungry so i started to eat. I chocked on my bread when Alec entered shirtless with water dripping from his hair. There was a nurse that helped him sit on the bed and then she left smiling at me. I sat up "here's your food" i handed him his food.

"Thank you. Are you still mad?" He asked a little sad

"No. Everyone deserves a second chance, right?" He smiled and i felt like my stomach was going to explode from so many butterflies

"They said that tomorrow i can go home"

"That's good news, right?" I was confused because he didn't seem happy

"It's stupid but I won't have you sleep in the same room with me if i go home" i blushed and bit my lip. He closed his eyes and shook his head "i shouldn't have said that, I'm sorry"

"It's fine" i tried not to smile but failed "you're really confusing, you know?"

"Sorry" i just shook my head smiling. The day went by quickly with us chatting, watching TV and eating.

"It's pretty late. Come here" he patted the place next to him on his bed

"I know your leg hurts, I don't want to make it worse" i shook my head

"You're making it worse right now when you're making me beg you to get in the bed with me" his smile dropped "I didn't mean it like that"

"It's fine" i got in bed next to him and put the blanket over the both of us. "Does it hurt?" I instinctively put my hand on his leg and he jumped. I pulled my hand back "oh god sorry. Tell me i didn't hurt you"

"You didn't, it's fine. I just didn't expect you to do that" i blushed so hard, at least i was lucky it was dark "you can put your hand back if you want, I don't mind"

"Oh, no. I'm fine, thanks" oh god why is this so awkward? Oh i know! Maybe because you're sleeping in the same bed with someone that admitted that he would fuck you if you weren't so young. At some point in the night i fell asleep.

I woke up feeling something hard under my head. I soon realized it was Alec's chest. I looked up at him and he was looking at me as well

"Morning" he said huskily.

"Morning" i greeted him back "how are you feeling?"

"Good, my father's outside talking to the doctors. He said something about having to rest for 4 weeks" I nodded.

After we got home, we all ate and then i called Claire to see how she is.

"Hi Claire, how are you doing?"

"I'm fine, you?"

"Good"

"And Xander?"

"He's in his room. He took some pain killers for his leg. And Will?" Some silence followed. I heard some sobs

"I broke up with him, Aurora. I can't believe he put you and Xander in such danger for me! I know he feels bad but everytime i look at him i imagine what my life would have been if something would have happened to one of you!" She was crying so hard the poor soul

"Calm down, Claire, everything's fine. Alec is going to be fine" i tried to convince her

"The worst think, Aurora, is that i still love him! And i feel so guilty about it!"

"It's ok. It's normal to still love him. You should talk to him"

"Yeah, you're right. Thank you"

"No problem. Bye"

"Bye"

Great now is time to get answers!
