Chapter 18

Taehyung POV

Again it was summer break.

You were only an hour away from Y/N but sometimes it still felt too far away.

You knew it wasn't the two day drive like during the holidays but you missed seeing her everyday.

You were going to stay with your family's friends again.

Happy again they take you in no questions asked, it was normal to you and to them.

You were just like another family member.

They really were a blessing.

You worked in the sandwich shop again and Y/N at the daycare.

You hated waiting for the next time you would see Y/N.

Time was never on your side, time would slowly drag on when you weren't together and fly by when you were.

You would go see her weekends or she would come see you.

When you were together you would go on dates around town or just chill at home.

Both worked for you as long as Y/N was by your side, you were happy.

You took her to the zoo as much as possible, you both loved seeing all the animals and enjoying your time together.

Y/N would call you and text you daily, you didn't mind you would be doing the same thing if she didn't start the conversations.

You would Skype when you could, loving the fact you could see her and hear her voice.

You just missed her so much your heart would ache for her when you weren't near her.

You couldn't wait to get back to school, to seeing Y/N everyday.

Luckily the summer went fast.

You were soon back to school, happier than ever to be with Y/N again.

You needed money though, just working the summers wasn't cutting it for you.

You ended up working in the cafeteria at college, but to your advantage Y/N was working there now too.

You worked most of the nights with Y/N.

You worked on serving and cooking the pizzas, while she worked the sandwich line.

You always seemed more busy then her.

The college students always like pizza more than the sandwiches.

She would always help out your line if you needed it especially if her line was dead.

You got to talk with her when the dinner rush would die off.

You got to be close to her while you had to work which made work even better.

At the end all the staff had to clean and close.

It involved cleaning the tables, vacuuming the floor, cleaning where all the food was keep on the lines and everything on the buffet, and moping the tile floors.

If everyone pitched in then the work got done fast and everyone got to leave quickly after you closed.

One day though you had the weird feeling in the pit of your stomach.

You couldn't shake it off.

You didn't feel sick like you would throw up or anything, you couldn't pin point it but you just had this feeling that something bad was going to happen.

You didn't know what bad thing was going to happen it was just something you felt.

You were having trouble doing your job with this feeling lingering.

You got by but it seemed Y/N noticed something was wrong.

Y/N asks "Is anything wrong Taehyung?"

You tell her "I just don't feel good, not really a sick feel bad, just a feel bad like something horrible is going to happen."

You didn't know how else to explain it to Y/N.

She finally utters "It's ok Taehyung I am right here with you, I will try to help you out as much as possible."

Before you can say anything back to Y/N.

You hear your manager come out yelling "Everyone come with me a tornado is about to hit."

So this is the event your body was dreading.

All of the staff and college students in the cafeteria end up following your manager to a tunnel below it.

You were a little freaked out it was dark till someone turned on the lights.

You couldn't help feeling frightened.

You look around seeing it's like a long hallway but the walls look like thick cement.

Well at least that's going for you.

Maybe we can get through this.

You were trying to be calm and collected for Y/N's sake but the fact you didn't know what was going on above ground didn't help.

You were huddled in a ball trying to calm your anxiety about the whole situation.

Y/N cuddles into, feeling her next to you helps slightly.

At least you know where she is through all this, you know you would be even more of a nervous wreck if she was somewhere else and you wouldn't know if she was safe or not.

You thanked your lucky stars for that.

Y/N states "Taehyung this is the safest place on campus to be right now, and I'm here with you."

Trying to still be the protector of her you tell her "Yeah I know I will protect you Y/N," but you were terrified inside.

She laughs at you mentioning "Taehyung it's ok to be scared, I am too but you have me and that's all you need."

You look at her and kiss her cheek.

She is always your rock that lifts you up and holds you together.

You honestly don't know what you would do without her.

You say "Thanks Y/N you always know how to make me feel better."

You sit cuddling her hoping that the tornado will be gone soon.

Without cell reception everyone is clueless to what's going on.

Your manager bravely goes above ground to periodically check on what the radio has to say.

He always updates the crowd to what is going on.

He announces "The tornado hit the east side of town."

So it did touch the ground, great?!!!

It makes you slightly freak out again.

Afterwards you find out the full damage of the tornado as it took out some businesses.

Finally the tornado dissolves.

Everyone goes back up into the cafeteria to work and eat again.

You were thankful it was all over.

Your parents and Y/N's parents both had to make sure you were ok, which you both were.

You were still a little traumatized by the whole event.

You knew Y/N was the girl for you, the only girl for you, especially after this whole situation.

She is your true love.

You had known for about a month before though, but this all made it perfectly clear.
