Chapter 7

Y/N POV

You were confused as to why he asked to call his mom on your date but maybe it was the only time he had to talk to her, who knows. 

You hear Taehyung dial her number, it rings shortly after. 

It continues to ring for awhile, maybe you won't have to talk to her. 

You had before and knew she was a wonderful lady but it was different now. 

You weren't just friends with Taehyung, you were dating him now. 

You didn't know what she would think, you thought she liked you but you were still scared. 

Finally his mom picks up. 

You hear "Hi my baby boy." 

You almost burst out laughing at his mother's nickname for him. 

He looks over at you turning bright red as he replies with "Mom please not right now." 

His mom continues "What do you mean my baby boy?" 

At this point you see his face as red as a fire engine, I mean you don't think he can get any redder. 

You can't help it anymore with his mother's words and his reaction you end up laughing so hard you end up snorting. 

Taehyung looks extremely embarrassed, while you hear his mom asking "Who is with you?" 

"That's Y/N mom and you just embarrassed me in front of my new girlfriend." 

You blush at the word girlfriend. 

His mother yells " "GIRLFRIEND!!!" 

Which startles both of you. 

"Yes mom Y/N and I are dating now," you proclaim excitedly. 

"Good I'm glad you two are dating, I really like her." 

You feel happy that she approves of your relationship. 

"I'm glad it all worked out though, and that you finally manned up and asked her out," she states clearly for both of you to hear. 

Wait how did she know he liked you? 

Did he really talk to his mom about everything?? 

You knew they were really close, I mean he called her at least once a week if not more but you didn't know that close. 

He must really be THAT CLOSE to his mother. 

Taehyung's voice squeaks out "Mom do you have to tell her everything?" 

"Yes I do that is my right as a mother and she was bound to find out eventually." 

"Ugh mom stop embarrassing me please," he groans. 

You laugh at how cute his reactions are to his mother's teasing. 

He looks at you and softens some after seeing you. 

"So what are you two up to?" 

"I took Y/N out on our first date," you proudly state. 

You reach over and squeeze his hand slightly. 

"Aww where did you go on your date?" 

"I took Y/N to see Ted then we had ice cream." 

"That sounds like a wonderful first date dear," his mom coos through the phone. 

"Well I just wanted to tell you mom that we were dating.....I just couldn't wait any longer to tell you," he clearly states. 

Your heart skips a beat at his bluntness. 

"Well I wish you the best," says his mom. 

"Thanks mom, bye, I love you." 

"Bye my baby boy, I love you too," she replies before hanging up. 

He groans again at his mother's words. 

You giggle and kiss his cheek. 

You both sit there enjoying each other's company. 

Your mind starts to wander does he really like you that much?!!! 

You felt so lucky to have him, he truly is an amazing guy. 

He treated you like a queen, even before you started dating. 

And it only became more so after you started dating. 

He paid still every time you went out. 

He held car doors and building doors open for you. 

Taehyung would massage your back, feet, and legs, just about anything you asked him too. 

He knew you oh too well. 

He would know when you weren't feeling well and he would take care of you. 

If you told him you weren't feeling well because of lady problems he would go buy you chocolate and pain medicine. 

He would buy you random stuff he knew you would like just because he could. 

Taehyung cuddled you close knowing you were always cold and he was warm even though he would start to overheat. 

He always thought of your needs before his own, it was an endearing quality. 

Your love for him grew as the days went on. 

The time has come again for the holiday season. 

You will especially miss Taehyung this time. 

Now that you two have been dating you have been together even more, which no one thought was possible. 
Taehyung will again be a two day drive away. 

You end up texting him and calling anytime you have. 

You talk about the holidays and how much you miss each other. 

One of the days he ends up Skyping you. 

It's so nice to see his face and hear his voice. 

But you can't help laughing at his father that is making faces and trying to embarrass his son in the background. 

Taehyung seems to notice but also tries to ignore it. 

Throughout the call you get to see each of his family as they all butt into the conversation. 

Taehyung is slightly pink from their interactions. 

But you know they mean well. 

His mom talks to you about how you are and just life in general, also that she wants to see you in person in the future. 

His dad continues to try embarrassing his son with carrots in his mouth like a walrus. 

You meet his sister who talks just as much as the rest of them. 

His sister speaks about anime and video games. 

You are then graced with grandma and grandpa's presence. 

They converse with you about anything and everything, as they get off topic from what Taehyung says is usual. 

Finally it's just you two on the call now, he apologizes. 

You laugh telling him it's ok, they are family and you know he loves them no matter how weird they are. 

He states that's true. 

You tell him you miss him, and you can't wait to see him again in person. 

He replies with the same, saying he misses you as well. 

Luckily the holidays go fast and you get back to school. 

Happy to be reunited with Taehyung.
