Not at First Sight Book 2!!!

Chapter 39

Y/N POV

You finally found a venue for the reception. 

Your mom and you agree it works out perfectly. 

It's small enough for everyone but not too crowded. 

Also not too big where everyone gets lost in the shuffle. 

You would have to take out a few tables for the dancing but they would do that so no problem there. 

The dance floor wouldn't be the biggest but you didn't think you would need that big of a dance floor anyway. 

The lady that owns it will be making the food as well. 

You decided on the basics beef bulgogi, chicken bulgogi, rice and japchae. 

You had to have japchae because it's Taehyung's favorite food. 

He would not let you live it down if it wasn't on the menu. 

Because of course out of all the decisions to be made he always had an opinion on the food. 

He loves his food, he is a man you can definitely get his attention through by his stomach. 

Plus all the banchans, you for sure had to have kimchi as one of them. 

You are happy you only have to pay one lady for the venue and the food. 

She seems highly capable of running it and making the food, she had been doing it for almost 20 years now. 

The location was great, close to where the ceremony would be and where the hotels are for family to stay at. 

Everything was going smoothly. 

You payed the lady the amount that is due to book the location for the day of your wedding. 

You are relieved and excited to get that big decision out of the way. 

Now the reception location and food are taken care of. 

Now you just had to decide on what company to use for the cake. 

You had checked out a couple places so far. 

You have an appointment in a couple of days. 

You are hoping soon you can cross that off your list. 

You had found a time that works for you, your mom and Taehyung. 

You knew he would want to taste the cake. 

The day finally arrives of your appointment. 

You go in looking at all the beautiful pictures of cakes that had been made previously. 

All looked beautifully,  you were starting to get really excited. 

But the main thing is how they taste. 

The owner comes out and tries to get to know you a little bit. 

Asks when it is, how many guests will be there, all the basic questions. 

The owner is quite peppy and genuinely a hoot to be around. 

She was very nice, smiley and cracking jokes left and right. 

You and Taehyung both loved her. 

Especially after trying the cake, it was heavenly. 

The cake has the right ratio of frosting to cake,  it was just the right amount of sweet, and the perfect texture. 

You and Taehyung couldn't wait to eat more of this on your wedding day. 

This was it you had found your cake lady. 

It was another major decision you could say was done. 

You mom agreed with your decision also and helped pay for the booking of the cake. 

The hardest choice now was what flavors. 

You have to have chocolate, it's always been your favorite. 

You thought you could never go wrong with chocolate. 

Taehyung wants strawberry and together you pick vanilla. 

Now what flavor was going to be the topper?! 

The layer of cake you save for your one year anniversary of being married. 

You really want chocolate but Taehyung really wants strawberry. 

Luckily before you get into a big fight over it the owner tells you she can mix the two together for the topper. 

You both know strawberries and chocolate go very well together so that sounded like a marvelous idea. 

So that is what was the final decision, a mix of strawberry and chocolate for the topper. 

You told her you want cherry blossoms to be wrapped around the outside of the cake. 

The owner states she would love to make that, she is one of the primary bakers and has been wanting for years to make a cake such as that. 

That makes you even more excited to see the final outcome. 

You got more done for the wedding, you didn't have everything done but you still wished it was time for the wedding already. 

But you knew it would come before you know it.
