Chapter 23

Y/N POV

The holidays were a week and a half away.

You were expecting to go back home and Taehyung to go home to his parents.

But Taehyung one day came to your room with a surprise.

Taehyung peeks around the corner, you look up to see him as you smile.

You run to hug him, he hugs back.

He then gently guides you to the futon to sit down.

He hands you a white envelope.

You look at him confused.

He says "It's an early present, now open it."

You open it quickly and start reading.

[Dear Y/N,

I know it will be hard to be away from each

other during this upcoming holiday season.

But I have a surprise for you. I have asked my

parents and yours and they have told me it's ok

if I bring you with me. You and I are going to

drive to my parents and spend the holidays

with them. I have it all planned out, so don't

worry. I know it's in your nature, but trust me

it's all taken care of. You will get to enjoy the

holidays by my side. I don't know if I can

spend another holiday season without you near

me. It might actually kill me!!! Let's enjoy our

time together. I love you dearly.

You jump up yelling "Are you serious?"

"Yes Y/N, you get to spend the holidays with me."

You couldn't be more excited!!!!

You got to be with Taehyung, but the realization of you having to meet his family set in.

What if they don't like you?!

What if you don't get along?!

You have to ask "Taehyung what if they don't like me?"

He smiles and states "Y/N don't worry, they are going to love you."

He gently cups your face and kisses your forehead.

You mumble "Are you sure?"

He sighs saying "Yes Y/N, they would be crazy if they didn't."

It makes you feel slightly better but you can't help worrying just a little.

You hug and kiss him.

You of course were going to miss your family but you got to be with Taehyung and that made everything better.

The week and a half till the holidays flew by after you got the news of the trip.

It was finally the day you and Taehyung leave for your trip.

Everything was packed into suitcases and in the car.

You set out early hoping to make it at least half way there.

Taehyung wanted to drive first.

During the drive you both talk about anything and everything.

You listen to music, jamming and singing along.

Sometimes you listen to audio books, he picked, so of course it was a Harry Potter book.

You didn't mind, you loved reading the series as well.

The time seemed to go by quickly even though the scenery wasn't all that great sometimes.

You would get towns and bustling cities, or endless country sides that all looked the same.

You make it through the long expanse of road till you get to your hotel, you were to stay here and drive the rest tomorrow.

You got out what you needed, and headed to check into your room with two beds.

The neighborhood seemed sketchy when you were walking in.

You got your key and headed to your room.

You were a little worried about the extra stuff in the car, you heard from others when walking to your room that people would burglarize your car if you weren't careful.

You really didn't want a busted up car so far away from your home or his.

You decide to pull a few more important things from the car to make yourself feel better, Taehyung helps.

You knew you would sleep better if you did this.

Unfortunately sleep was hard to come by for you and Taehyung.

You don't know what your neighbors were doing but it was loud and sounded disturbing.

It went on almost all night, you almost knocked on the door to tell them off.

You thought about calling the front desk, but again you were too scared to.

When you checked out the next day you did end up telling the front desk.

You both put your luggage back into the car making sure you had everything.

You and Taehyung set out again, both of you still tired from lack of sleep.

Taehyung drove, it was almost like he didn't want you to drive but you also knew he wanted to prove to his father he drove the whole way there.

Why?!

Who knows, they are men and men are weird!!!!

You just decide to let it go.

This drive seems like a lot less cities and more country sides.

It was pretty but was monotonous too.

You were so happy when you finally made it to his parents' house.

You and Taehyung dragged everything into his sister's room.

You were going to be sleeping on his sister's bed.

You felt bad because his sister and Taehyung slept on the two couches in the living room.

Taehyung introduces you to his family.

There is mom, dad, younger sister, grandma and grandpa(Grandma and Grandpa were his dad's parents).

They all lived together under the same roof.

The family all seemed really nice to you.

They accepted you as one of their own.

You felt at home, it helped ease some of your anxiety about meeting them.

Little did you know in a few days your life would be so different!!!
