"I'm happy I have you both."

"Amy! You let her leave?!" Daniel's voice just came out ouf no where.

"Who? You mean Maddy?"

"Yes, Maddy!!"

"She left when I was listening to Lucy's record. What's the problem?" I can't believe he's mad at me for that.

"She just called."

"And?"

"She said you had some news from Cambridge."

"Okay... Why is it affecting you that much?"

"Because!! How could you have lied to us!?"

"Excuse me?! Since when do you have to decide if I'm lying or not?!" Where does that come from?!

"Cambridge wants you to decide if you still want to continue in psychology or finish you bachelor in social work with the elective and complementary courses you took with the psychology program. What does that even mean?!"

"Oh my God, really?? I can't believe this is happening!!"

"And I thought that program meant everything for you..."

"Are you really mad at me for that?!"

"Why can't I?"

"Because I choose to say what I want to who I want!"

"Meaning?" Oh, please!

"I choose not to tell Maddy, okay? Are you happy now? I said it! I didn't want to tell her before of how neglecting she's been. For starters, it'd been four years when she realized I exist as her friend and not as a damn ghost! Well, it took her a break up. Do you think I wanted to tell my new dreams and feeling to someone who almost doesn't bother caring about me at all for so long?!"

"I guess not..."

"Well, you just had the right answer. By the way, everyone knows. Ask anyone. Being in the social work program has been my dream but I got told it'd be easier to start with psychology... almost as if I should give. Being accepted in that program overseas appeared to be so rare that I decided to play safe and put it aside for a while. When she came back, there was nothing to say about it. You remember the girl I visited with Cath?"

"Yeah, but I haven't seen her here today..."

"I didn't expect to find her either."

"Why?"

"Just before the Awards, I had a conversation with Coralyn, a friend from high school with whom I enjoy to talk to. She's been texting with her when I didn't have any news. She even blocked me on Messenger and unfriended me on Facebook. At that time, I didn't understand, so I texted her. She answered not do long after how futureless she think her future is. She just decided to walk off if my life without telling me. As if it was normal. She thanked me politely for the friend I used to be for her and wished me a good future. End of the story."

"Of course, you were comprehensive and kind in your answer."

"I couldn't act any other way. It was over for so long and I thought she really meant what she said when she said it wasn't because of me when we texted after I visited. I guess I was just really wrong."

"Why did you bring her up?"

"I wanted to tell you how indifferent I was. It wasn't that bad. I moved on and lived my life without her, without forgetting about our story..."

"And the same happened with Maddy... even though it's never been officially over. Now, I get it. You stopped bothering so long ago that it's tough to tell her everything again or be her big sister again."
