Chapter 9: My wife

"What will we gonna do,again?" I ask curiously. She left a heavy sigh before turning to me. I'll try to test her patience if it is cool. Ika-apat ko na siguro tinanong ito sakanya. Medyo occupied ako ngayon kaya hindi ko naman sinadya na palaging mag tanong.

"We need to have a documentary for our exhibition this upcoming foundation day."She said while panting hard. Kanina pa kaya sya panay picture dito , doon, at kung ano-ano ang magagandang features dito sa school.

"Ba't may exhibition? Diba salu-salo lang yan o mga booth?" I ask innocently while she,on the other hand, shakes her head to me while looking those shots we have taken.

"Actually, no. May pupuntang ibang school dito para mag cocompete. Just like other schools, they will compete a game. I'll play badminton, what's yours?" She smiled. Di talaga ma pipikon tsktsk.

"Jeez. Whatever." I just rolled my eyes on her. She chuckled while following me. Medyo mataas na ang distansya namin pero nakahabol sya agad.Inilabas nya ang camera nya tapos sinenyasan ako na mag picture kami.

"Smile!" Tugon nya sakin. After taking a picture with her, she immediately look the picture in her camera. Afterwards, she smiled at me sweetly. She turned her back and call aedryan who just pass over us while eating hotdog.

"Oh, hey girls!" Sigaw nya samin ng malapit na syang makapunta sa pwesto namin. Automatikong napaatras ako at sumilong sa kahoy at pumikit. Ayaw ko ding makita sya at maka-usap. I don't actually want to be embarrassed in front of him while remembering our small talk last night.

"Aedryan,can you please hold this and picture us?" Dinig kong sambit ni Oli kay Aedryan . Napailing lang ako sa sarili kasi baka ako yung tinutukoy ni Oli. Hindi ko na alam ang sinagot ni Aedryan pero agad napabukas ang mga mata ko ng may  kumuha  sa kamay ko.Bumungad ng naka ngiti si Oli sakin. Napa baling ako sa camera na hawak ni Aedryan. Basta ang alam ko lang ay ka Oli yon.

"Smile!" Saad nya sakin. Lumingon ako camera at don ko nakita na hindi pa nya pinindot. Nagtakang tumingin si Oli ni Aedryan, pero ang tingin nya ay nananatili sakin.
"Something wrong?" Sabi ni Oli at napa iling si Aedryan at tinuro ako. Tinaasan ko sya ng kilay pero sinenyasan nya ako ng ngumiti. Sinundan ko ang utos nya at pumwesto na sya para maka pag picture samin.

Natapos na ang ika una na picture namin pero sabi ni Oli, last one nalang daw.

"I don't like to take that smile, Margoe! You look so glum! I'd rather see you cry than giving a fake smile!" Patawang sabi ni Aedryan. Agad kumunot ang noo ko at nag takmol sa kanya. He raise his hands to the air like his surrendering. He held back again the camera while grinning at me. I smiled the best smile, just to satisfy his bothersome attitude .

Pagkatapos kami pinag pictureran ni Aedryan ay nag paalam muna si Oli kasi may tumawag daw sakanya. So kami nalang dalawa dito ni Aedryan kasi yung ibang classmates namin nandun na sa classroom, ganon?

"Hey winnie! Oh, how I missed calling you with that nickname." He said while me, is having a hard time trying to lock my necklace. I'd rather do something that would give me attention than talking to him. I'm not yet ready. Maybe the time he'll do something sweet, I'll be a living potato with ketchup.

"That nickname is the worst, Aedryan." I protest angrily but he just chuckled. Oh, you don't know how much I like that laugh of yours Mr.Denzel.

I just avoid my gaze at him and keep myself busy with something.

"That necklace will explode soon. How long will you stop rubbing or fixing that thing when it's already fixed?" He asked impatiently. I left out a heavy sight before turning to him.
