Chapter 30
"Although we think of our Sun as a unique celestial body, it is, in fact, one of trillions of stars in the universe. On top of this, the Sun is rather ordinary as far as stars go. The official classification for our Sun is G V star (often referred to as a Yellow Dwarf star), which means that it is a main sequence star whose surface temperature is between 5027°C and 5727°C."
The sun may be a type of a star or have another name which may sound weirder than Pennywise. We literally have Sun for our topic of the day. I hear the professor's words too clear, but my mind was in a blur. The sun may give me heat and warm, but it isn't enough to light my mentality.
In a matter of fact, the Sun can't save me from the dark. Neither the stars.
The point lacks quality. It may look so pointy, but the way it strokes down the paper, it isn't enough to be visible. Sometimes, I thought, why things happened to not inevitable? Why couldn't it be shown, easily? Openly? Flagrantly?
I flip down the pages over as I examine the last page I take my notes down. Not bad, I thought as I scanned my handwriting. The professor may talk too fast, but then again, I easily catch up with his words.
"Alright, don't forget your homework tomorrow class. Goodbye." Ms. Brooklyn, our professor in Astronomy, announces as she stormed out of the room. I immediately pack my things up and starting to walk to the canteen.
I sigh out of relieved when I saw only few students. As far as I know, I've get along with this people too quickly. Maybe because I get too much expose. Not to mention, my friend here who talk so loud which sometimes you'll think it's not normal for her to talk that loud.
"I ditch my geometry class for what---teaching this scumbag for his homework which he didn't make yesterday! I'm going to kill that ugly looking face of my brother...." She continues to whine as she sat down in front of me, holding a tray with sandwiches and fruits.
"He wants to get into the baseball team, yet I'm the one doing his homework! Lucky his ass, he has something to blackmail me or else, Mom will pop here at school, dragging my soul from the face of the earth." She said loudly as she chuckles heavily. Like she didn't get a chance to laugh yesterday or even the day she's born.
"You two are funny." I said as I left a small chuckle, enough for her to shut up and get annoyed. She looks at me hysterically. She dramatically holds her chest, as if someone pierced a sword through it.
"Prisca, your brother doesn't look that bad..." I said while trying to eat my salad. Well, probably, I couldn't eat it properly because of the stares Prisca gave me.
"See? You've been bewitched by his looks! Sometimes, looks can be deceiving too!" She said while waving her hands at my face. I just shook my head and ignore her and her wild mouth.
Looks can be deceiving, right...
Finishing up my food, I almost choke when I saw someone wearing trousers and a button down long sleeve near the door. I wipe the stain in the side of my mouth firmly as I watch the person who wears some old school style walks towards us.
"Could you please leave the hell out of me for just lunch time? You're an annoying blockhead ass." Prisca said annoyingly as she gave her brother a killer death stare. If looks can kill, he may be dead by now. Prisca and her vulgar mouth.
"Hey! Watch your mouth sister. I'm just here to tell you that Mom told me to bring Vas over for dinner." He said as he gave me a short glimpse.
Prisca snaps her fingers. "Oh, shut it! You could've just texted me! I know it's Vas who you're here for." She said, looking at her brother, disgusted.
