Chapter 1

"Hey yo!!! Wake up!!" It was a loud shout from downstairs. I could imagine aunt's face burning with anger, telling me to wake up. Clearly I was so lazy enough to rise from bed. That dream made me more and more curious. It's haunting in me for several weeks now.

My auntie didn't take it and a huge sound echoed through the room as my auntie slammed it. "Margoe! How many times do I have to remind you that you have to wake up early for your etiquette class with Brynn?!" Said aunt mandy loudly.

"No auntie. I'll be in Bianca's today. "I said unlovely. She spam me yesterday night so that I could remember this event she was telling me!

"Oh? Now tell me, is that really it?" I can see auntie being sarcastic here. If she wasn't an auntie of mine, I maybe break her wrist. She doesn't look that quite old. She's on her 30's.

"Have you forgotten? It's Monday morning. The last proper day of Christmas holidays. Now you're telling me not to go? You're not even here to celebrate on Christmas with me auntie.." I just couldn't help and tell her like that. It wasn't like I'm being mean. I'm just stating the fact.

"Oh... I'm sorry dear. It's just...You'll understand soon." Said auntie. Embarrassed to feel tears welling up, she looked away, blinking into my room's essence.

"Hey, auntie... It's okay. Really. Just promise me you'll take care okay?" I said as I hugged her with and open arms. I was suddenly a bit frightened. I don't want people that I love cry.

"Merry Christmas, my lovely auntie." Once again, I said it sincerely.I smiled cheekily. As well as her. I hated Christmas. Everyone is supposed to love Christmas, especially teens. But I hated it. I hated the tinsel, I hated the crackers, I hated the carols, I hated the mince pies, I hated sitting down with other families to a long, long dinner, and most of all, I hated how I had to pretend to be happy just because it was December 25th.

"What can I do for you in exchange, young lady?" Said my auntie.

"Nothing!" I said impatiently. Maybe it's because of hunger hmmm....

"Uhh..How about my fave tocino?" I added.

"Of course dear! Come!" She leaded her way downstairs. I was brushing my teeth first before going down. Even from the stairs, I could clearly smell tocino.

Papunta na sana ako sa kusina nang may kung ano ang kumirot sa paa ko. It was levinan! My undeniably cute dog!

"How big are you na? You look more fat, levi! Hmm I think it's because of that crazy snake made you eat poison huh?" I said.

"Arff!" Said my dog. My aunt always tease me for talking to my dog as if he could reply me.

"Goodness gracious! Wag ka ngang tumabi dyan sa aso! Di kita mamukhaan." I heard someone say that out of nowhere. It was my best friend's voice. Maybe she'll accompany me in this last day of Christmas!

"Are you eavesdropping?" Pagtataray ko sakanya.

"Hell no! May kausap ka ba dyan? Except sa aso mo'ng kakambal ng pagmumukha mo?" Sabi nya.

"From my point of view, ikaw ang mukhang aso dito. Umalis kana nga . Tinorture mo ata mood ko ngayon . Tsupeee!!" Sabi ko sakanya.

"Breakfast is ready." Sabi ni auntie galing sa kusina. I started to walk away from bianca's presence. Sumunod din naman yon sakin.

"So, what are your plans, Margoe?" Bianca ask. I remembered the folder my aunt has given me about two months ago. It was a weird school. My aunt told me if I was interested in that school. Well, I think it's cool.
