Chapter 24

My skirt was narrow and wider than my pillow. The back of my dress only had a slight padding and the back accentuated the flawless firm of it. Dry colored dress may seem to fit my comely appearance and makes it more neutral.

I was wearing a corset—increasingly shorter Basque bodices (bodices with a tight fit and a Crips flare over the hips). The bodice had a high, curvaceous and a very high standing collar. By the looks of this, it reminds me of how women's dress in the 18th century.

I was comfortable with it, yes, but it seems to look so fancy and elegant. I wanted this night to be my first night with my family, happily, but knowing other people attending our small fest later, give me a sudden dismay of feeling.

"Perfectly done, Miss." Cohleen announced to me with a such respectful tone. She's with me ever since I've arrive here, accompanying me and guiding me for things I needed.

I've learn a lot about her too. Her family has been loyal to us ever since my Mother was still in Bulgaria. Cohleen's Mother is a kitchen cook from my Mother's palace, but they get along too well, and that makes Cohleen's Mother come along with my Mother here.

"Always remember, Miss Vasilka," She started saying as we travelled to our dinning while she is conduct me some monumental rules that is in demand here at the palace.

"When you're about to introduce yourself or if someone will do such thing, you need to utter your name fully. Once again, it is in demand for a royal blood to do."

"Got it?" Funny how Cohleen acts like a teacher or an adviser to me. I nearly thought she's a teenager of some sort. Well, she's not. She's just a year older than me and that makes her the authority to just talk to me casually.

"Cristal." I replied, showing her thumbs up. I was carrying both hands my long skirt that can touch the ground. I finally embrace my royal aspect since I don't want to usher people that I'm not like them.

I literally argue around earlier with Cohleen to allow me to clothe a lack of embellishment to look unadorned to some. Just want to make people look at me bald and simply nod not bow as if I'm a superior. Cohleen's words earlier pierced into me as I thought of it.

"No, you're not wearing that and will never be. Don't you understand? You're not like us. We may be the same, humans. But the wealth and assets that you earn each and every day doesn't stood up to people like us. We serve your family not because you're rich, but you make your own money according to your family's hard work. And by that, your family helped all of us worker's financial assistance. You are all generous and being generous deserves kindness and kindness starts with being courteous."
