In the morning when I woke up I got out of bed and grabbed the bottle of pills from the door in my nightstand grabbed the dosage and popped them into my mouth. I went down and had breakfast with mum before doing other homework. Recently mum surprised me with turning the extra room in the basement into a workout training room with different things for days when it is not nice enough to go for runs, so I spent most of my day there since mum had to work all day.

When it was about an hour before I would be meeting Cody I took some more pills I couldn't risk anything happening since we would most likely be going to a busy restaurant with lots of people and lots of smells and everything.

I started to feel a little agitated after minutes so I texted mum saying I was leaving early to go for a quick run before meeting up with Cody. And so I did although I wore jeans and a nice t-shirt I still ran as fast as I could letting my wolf take over even with the pills taking effect. As it was getting closer to the time I started for the clearing and as I got closer I could smell that Cody was there waiting for me. When getting there I stopped abruptly putting my hand on my knees trying to catch my breath.

"Did you run here?" Cody asks upon seeing me.

"Yeah I needed to get energy out so I went for a run," I say in between breaths as I stand upright and looking at Cody for the first time.

"Are you okay?" he asked the concern in his voice evident.

"Yeah, of course, I'm fine, I go for runs like this all the time," I say still not fully having caught my breath.

"When I see you when you are out for a run you are not normally this out of breath."

"Well I ran faster than I usually do and longer," I say half lying.

"But you are not sweating," he states. I am about to say something in response but I start to feel dizzy and stumble a little. Cody reaches his hand out stabilizing me so I don't fall.

"I think I should go home maybe we can work tomorrow instead."

"That is fine with me you are in no condition to be out, I'll walk you."

"No, you don't have to do that I will be fine getting home." I start to feel short of breath and even dizzier but despite that, I still insist that I will be fine on my own I can't risk him seeing anything.

"Okay but call me when you get home."

"I will but you don't need to worry."

"I do need to worry I care about you a lot and you are not feeling good and you insist on walking home alone through the woods."

"I'll see you tomorrow," I turn and start walking away but after a few, I try to run only to have my foot get caught or something and fall onto the ground to have darkness consume me.

Cody's POV

I was waiting in the clearing for Ava and when she showed up she bent over putting her hands on her knees breathing heavily as if she had been running. I asked her if she ran here and she had, I could tell that she wasn't feeling good so when she said she should go home I agreed saying I'd walk her but she insisted she walks herself I eventually gave in.

As she walked away she was not walking straight almost as if she were drunk after a few seconds she disappeared behind the trees, another few seconds later I hear her fall. I rush in the direction of where she had gone and I see her lying on the ground unconscious. I walk to her side and bend down next to her I could see a few scratches and cuts on her arm and on her face.

I picked her up and started to walk in the direction of her house. Everything was different about her when she appeared in the clearing but she was still Ava. after a few minutes, she began to stir. She began mumbling things but I couldn't quite understand. I tried to talk to her but she wasn't responding and then she blacked out again.

"Oh Ava,"I said brushing her hair away from her eyes. I finally make it to her house and to the front door which was locked I tried knocking but no one answered. I set her down on the front porch and look around maybe they have a spare key around here somewhere I think as I look.

A minute later a give up finding nothing, it was then I realized she had something in her front pocket. I quickly and carefully take it out it was a key ring with 2 keys a car key and the house key. I unlock the door and pick Ava backup and carry her inside I walk to the living room and carefully place her on the couch.

I sit with her for a while until I get a text from James saying I am needed at home. I stand up and turn to Ava giving her a quick kiss on the forehead before walking out the door making sure it is locked and heading to where my car was parked.

Once I got home and dealt with what I was needed for I ate some food then headed to my room. I grabbed my laptop and went to my Netflix account to watch some random movie. After a while, James came in so I paused the movie.

"You could have gone back to study with Ava."

"No she wasn't feeling great so I just had gotten her home when you texted."

"Oh, well are you okay you seem a little off or something."

"Yeah, I am fine just watching a movie."

"Okay well I guess I will let you get back to your movie." he walks out leaving me alone in my room once again. I hit play on the movie although I haven't even been watching it because I was worried about Ava.

*shorter chapter I know but if I were to put more in it it would be extremely long. Stay tuned to see what is up with Ava and what she is going to do about what happened. Thanks for reading hope you enjoyed it. Just keep reading.
