I pull the car onto the road and start the drive to Rosewood Sanitorium. After a while of driving, I pull the car into the parking lot and turn the car off. Cody opens his door and is about to get out but closes the door once again when he sees that I am not making a move to get out.

"You okay Ava, if you are not ready for this we can turn around and go back to Henry's."

"It's not that. It is just I never imagined that I would be here going to see my father the man that did this to me, and what if we came all this way and don't get any answers."

"We will never know until we go in there. And even if we don't get any answers something good still came from this trip," he takes my hand in his intertwining our fingers.

"I guess you are right," I smile at him before leaning over and giving him a quick kiss. "Let's go." I climb out of the car and grab the research and walk around to Cody and we walk side by side through the front doors.

We walked up to the front desk and the receptionist behind it looked up as we approached. She looked to be a few years older than my mom and she smiled sweetly as she spoke.

"How may I help you today."

"I am here to see my father."

"Okay, what is your father's name."

"Korbin Reid."

"Ah yes he has been with us for quite a few years, I believe I was the one who received the call about him," she says looking at something on her computer screen. "Alright there is a daughter listed Ava right," I nod my head "I will need you to sign in right here and then I will bring you to the visiting room and get someone to bring him out for you." she smiles and I take the pen and clipboard to sign me and Cody in.

"Okay right, this way you two." she came around the other side of the desk and motioned for us to follow her so we did and she lead us back to a private room. "Your father will be here in a minute or two so just sit tight." she leaves shutting the door behind her.

" I can not believe I am actually about to see my father." I take a seat at the table in the room and Cody sits down next to me.

"Why didn't your mother ever take you to see him if you don't mind me asking."

"It's fine. I guess she didn't take me because she didn't want to face him knowing what he had done, and she was very angry with him."

"But she never got a divorce."

"No, which honestly I don't understand with what he did if I was her I would have divorced." I stop for a minute and think. "Maybe she used the marriage as a legal reason not to date again but when the real reason was she didn't want to risk having another man around with what I am."

"I guess that makes sense."

"Yeah, I actually used to dream that she would get a divorce and then she and Henry would get together, he is practically my father anyway."

"In all the ways that count he is your father." as Cody finishes saying that a man in scrub like clothes walks in followed by a man in sweatpants and a t-shirt who I can guess is my father. My father sits down on the opposite side of the table as the other man leaves the door closing behind him.

"Hello, Father."

"Ava, you have grown up so much. when I last saw you-you were only a baby. You look just like your mother when she was your age. Speaking of your mother where is she?"

"She is not here she is at our new house in America."

"Why are you living in America?"

"Something happened as a result of what you did to me and it happened in front of people at school so we had to pack up and leave." my eyes turned red as I raised my voice clenching my hands into fists.

"Ava calm down this is not the time or place to get angry and shift," Cody speaks for the first time since my father entered the room putting a hand on my back.

"Who is this." my father asks as if he is just noticing Cody. "he certainly can't be your brother can he?"

"No, he is not, this is Cody."

"Is he your boyfriend or something?" I glance over at Cody and smile.

"Yeah he is." at that Cody looks over at me and smiles. "But enough with the small talk we need answers and we hope you can provide them."

"What do you mean?"

"About your research and what you did to me recently, I started being able to shift into a wolf and I want to know if you have any ideas as to why or how that is possible." I pick up the bag with the research and put it in front of him.

"You turned into a wolf."

"I believe that is what I just said." he grabs the bag and pulls out the research and starts flipping through it looking like he is on a mission.

"Here this page," he says after a few minutes. "It is like I thought I hoped it wouldn't happen but it looks like it will happen."

"What do you mean?"

"I used a computer program to predict changes in DNA and blood after the introduction of the wolf blood and it took a while but then it made it look as if the wolf part would take over and you could get stuck as a wolf forever."

"What are you saying?" I say my voice trembling slightly.

"That soon you will turn into a wolf and never turn back." with that I can't control my actions I fling the table to the side and lunge for my father. My eyes red and claws and fangs out.

"You did this to me you son of a--" before I could grab my father Cody's arms wrap around my waist and pull me back.

"Ava calm down, I need you here with me right now not as Ava the wolf but Ava the human okay. Stay human for me." his voice and words are soothing and my claws and fangs recede leaving my eyes red. I turn around to look him in his beautiful grey eyes as he speaks again."I need you human I wouldn't know what to do with myself if you weren't." I blink and my eyes go from red back to their normal hazel. He pulls me into a hug and I wrap my arms around his back. "I think It is time to go Princess."

We pick up the research that had gone all over the place when I flung the table aside and put the table back in place as well. all while we were doing this my father was watching us with a curious expression as if he was thinking of something more. As we turn to leave he speaks once more.

"It was nice meeting you both, you are good together."

"well we didn't come here for your blessing and I wish I could say the same about meeting you but sadly I can't," I say shutting the door behind me as we leave the room.
