The Blood of a Wolf

The next morning I get up and get dressed and head down for breakfast. After we eat me and Cody make sure that our things are in Henry's car so we don't have to worry about that later when we leave.

"Alright, we have 2 hours until we should beat the airstrip what should we do till then?"

"We could watch a movie," Henry suggests "I don't have a big collection but I do have a few."

"Oh, do you have candy floss we can eat while we watch the movie?" I ask excitedly almost jumping up and down.

"I thought you would have grown out of that."

"You do not grow out of eating candy floss during movies. Can you believe this he thinks you grow out of candy floss." I turn on Cody who has a confused look. " oh you would call it um--" I try to think of the American way to say it. "Cotton candy that's what you would call it." a look of recognition comes across his face.

"Yeah that is crazy, but what movie are we going to watch."

"I say something, Disney."

"I think the most recent Disney movie I have is Tangled."

"That works for me."

"Alright I will go get it and there may be some candy floss in the cupboard."

"Yeah." with that I jump up and down before running off to grab the candy floss. A minute later I return and Henry is loading the movie in so I take a seat on the couch next to Cody and cuddle into him.

We sit and watch the movie with me stuffing my face with candy floss and occasionally feeding some to Cody. after the movie was done we pile into Henry's car and head towards the abandoned airstrip where the jet is waiting for us.

"Well, Henry I guess this is goodbye for now and don't forget to call when you find something out with the research and my blood samples."

"Of course I will get on that as soon as I get back to the house. Here these are stronger pills I have been working on making."

"Thank you." I give him a hug as Cody walks up after having brought our bags to the plane.

"It was nice meeting you Cody."

"It was nice to finally meet you as well I hope to see you in the future sometime."

"I am sure that will happen, I was going to have this be a surprise but I have been thinking about moving to America after all you do need a doctor that is not all the way across the ocean."

"Really? You are going to be moving to America?" I say tears forming in my eyes."

"It may take a while to get things settled here and everything but if all goes well I will be joining you in America." with that I give him another hug.

"Does my mom know?"

"No she doesn't and I would like it to be a surprise for at least someone."

"My lips are sealed."

"That's my girl."

"Well we have to get going, but we will see you soon then Henry," Cody says as he shakes Henry's hand.

"Watch out for her will you."

"Always," Cody replies with a smile. We walk away leaving Henry standing outside of his car watching us walk away. The plane takes off soon after we are on and now it is about 6 hours till we arrive back home.

For most of the ride back I read the book brought along, or even check my phone once in a while I have had it off for most of the trip so I have a lot of messages and missed calls from mom and a few from Bella and James. I send quick replies to Bella and James just so they know I am fine. I also texted Bella ha we will have to meet up to talk about things.

Soon enough the plane was landing and we were climbing off grabbing our bags and heading for Cody's car.

"You ready to get home and sleep in your own bed?"

"Yes and no I am afraid I may face the wrath of my mother."

"You going to want back up?"

"I think I can handle things on my own but I may be grounded for like 50 years." we get into the car and drive to my house as we pull into the driveway and park I see my mom open the door.

"Well here is your stuff." Cody hands me my bags

"Thanks."

"So I will see you when you're ungrounded in 50 years."

"Yeah bye." he gets back into his car and drives off as I walk up to where my mom stands in the doorway wearing a shocked expression.

"Hey, mom."

"Why did you not tell me."

"Because if I had you wouldn't have let me go to see him but I needed to."

"That's not all why didn't you tell me Cody knew I thought you were going with Bella, not Cody."

"Oh, that well I didn't tell you because I figured you would have overreacted and made us pack up and move and I don't want to move I love it here and have good friends. And we can trust him he knew about it longer than I knew that he knew and he never told anyone and he was there when I first shifted into a wolf."

"So you have lied to me more than once all for some boy."

"He is not just some boy mom he is my boyfriend and I really like him and he really likes me, so I don't care if you are upset that he knows because I am glad he knows."

"I am not mad you were doing this because you didn't want to move and put us through that again."

"So I am not grounded for 50 years."

"No, you are not."

"Good."

"Did you at least get some answers for anything?"

"Not what I wanted to hear. He says that I might shift into a wolf one day and then never shift back and I will stay a wolf forever."

"He is delusional and crazy he has got to be wrong."

"Henry is going to look into it and do some work of his own to see if what he says is correct."

"What am I supposed to do if that happens?"

"Well, we can worry about that when the time comes. Like Cody told me we should live in the present and not worry about the future because if we spend to much time worry about the time we will regret not spending time together while we can."

"He said that?"

"Yeah when I said how I didn't think we could be together if I would get stuck as a wolf someday."

"He really cares about you doesn't he."

"Yeah and he is my anchor."

"Well if you are happy I am happy."

"Thanks, mom. Now I am going to take a nice long shower and unpack and then we can talk about what happened while I was gone." I give her a hug before heading up to my room to grabs some clean clothes and then going to shower.
