I turned to see Lexi standing there her arms crossed over her chest.

"Okay, I will," I say a smirk came across her face. But it wasn't there long as I continued. " I will stay away from James only if he agrees with you and wants me to stay away from him." It was now my turn to smirk. She glared at me then walked away, so I continued my walk to class making it there just before the late bell rang. I took my seat and class went on as normal.

At the end of the day, I walked to the parking lot with Bella and James. We said bye as Bella climbed into her car and drove away. Just then a boy walked up he had longer blonde to light brown hair and grey eyes. With a similar stance and facial structure to James, so I figured he was his twin brother Cody.  He came to a stop next to James and I noticed he was an inch shorter than his brother. He looked me up and down before speaking.

"Well who is this pretty thing we have here?" he said obviously trying to flirt with me.

"My name is Ava."

"Ah, a Brit, nice to meet you Ava I'm--"

"Cody, James's twin I've heard so little about. Nice to meet you."

"Well, at least you've heard of me. I'm going to have to take my brother he has... business to attend to."

"It's fine Cody she knows," James spoke.

"What you told her."

" I kind of had to it was either that or let her think I was a creepy psychopath who likes to mess around with a katana in the woods."

"How did she find you the clearing is pretty deep in the woods," he asked James as if I wasn't there.

"I'm right here and I was going for a run as I usually do if I have time after school."

"You run through the woods?"

"Yeah, they surround my house so why not."

"Okay well, we have to go, so see you around pretty lady." I rolled my eyes at what he called me but waved as they left. I walked to the woods to run home as I had planned. It took about 15 minutes to get to my house as I almost got lost once. But I got there and changed into running clothes and grabbed a snack to munch on as I wrote a note for mum.

If I'm not here by the time you get home I'm on a run, I have my phone. I'll back later love you lots

-Ava

I put it where Mum would see it and headed out. I let my wolf take control and she ran in the direction of the clearing ignoring my protest telling her we shouldn't bother him while he practiced, but because she was a part of me she was stubborn. As I approached the clearing I stopped as there was a second sent mixed in with James'. It was familiar and similar to James' but I couldn't place it.

I walked closer to inspect the second scent, making sure not to make a sound. When I got there I noticed that the person the second scent belonged to was Cody. He held a second katana in his hand. He and James were sparring fighting each other. I watched soundlessly from the edge of the clearing somewhat hidden behind a tree.

My wolf Watched in awe as the two brothers fought. At some point, my wolf decided to walk into the clearing so I could be seen. Cody noticed me first and smiled before knocking the katana out of his brother's hand deciding he won that sparring round. He helped James up and pointed to me they walked over.

"So did you enjoy the show?" Cody asked as he approached, I rolled my eyes which earned a laugh followed by a smirk from him.

"So do you want to try it?" he asked

"Cody," James said his voice sounding as a warning to his brother.

"What brother." He gave James a blank stare and James responded with a look of his own.

"It can't hurt to ask."

"She could get hurt."

"So." There they go again talking as if I'm not there.

"We could get in trouble."

"She can do it at her own risk, right princess." I contemplated it Ignoring Cody's new nickname for me. On one hand, it would be cool to show off what I can do but on the other hand, it is dangerous as it is a real sword and I don't want to lose control.

"Come on princess don't be shy just give it a shot." Cody handed me one on the katanas, I took it. He taught me couple basic moves and blocks before we began. I moved my arm and flicked my wrist. The Blade of the katana clashed with Cody's blade and he had a hard time keeping up with me. In one fluid motion, I knocked the katana out of his hand, it flew up into the air and landed a few feet away the blade stuck in the ground. Both boys stood motionless shock written all over their faces.

"H-how did y-you do that?"Cody asked

"Must be beginners luck." I shrugged as I spoke, obviously, I couldn't tell them the truth that I used my superior super werewolf powers to beat Cody with a katana when I have never touched one before.

"How- how could that be beginners luck, are you saying that you have never touched a katana or sword before now?"

"Nope never touched one before in my life, guess I must have natural talent. I really should be getting back to my run, so I will see you at school tomorrow." I handed the katana to Cody and walked back to the edge of the clearing and was about to run when a voice stopped me. It belonged to Cody.

"Hey Ava, if you ever want to come down here and actually learn how to use one of these" he held up the katana. "Let me know." He smiled an actual smile, not a smirk but an actual smile and I smiled back.

"Yeah, sounds fun I might  take you up on that offer sometime." I walked into the woods leaving the brothers staring after me. When I was sure I was out of view I ran as fast as I could towards my house but slowed down when I passed it and went in the opposite direction as it was still early. But the Wood twins never left my mind or my wolf's.
