The next 2 and a half weeks went by as normal school in the mornings', practice in the afternoon and a couple of days were games in the late afternoon and on the weekends tutoring Cody. It was Wednesday and coach needed to cancel practice today for some reason he would not disclose so, Cody and I made a plan to take the time that would have been practice to study.

We went to the public library to use one of there special study rooms in the lower level, the rooms weren't that big but they were big enough for a 2 person table chairs and a small whiteboard with room to walk. We set our stuff down and got set up to work placing different assignments all over the table along with textbooks and other things we would need.

We closed the door to minimize the noise that was coming into the room as well as the noise leaving the room.

"I hate this it is pointless," Cody says after a while.

"Cody it is not pointless it is helpful makes you sound smart, English class is a necessary evil."

"Of course you say that you are a genius."

"I am not."

"You are tutoring me of course you are. Ok, I have had enough of this let's get out of here."

"Okay fine by me," I say as I stand up and start putting things away and sorting through what is mine and What belongs to Cody. When almost everything was put away I heard a noise at the door it wasn't someone coming in but I knew the scent it was someone from the team. I put what was in my hands down and went to the door I tried to open it but it wouldn't budge.

"What the heck."

"What's wrong?"

"Someone locked the door from the outside."

"What?" Cody walks over and tries the door and wasn't successful in opening it. "What the heck."

"Open the freaking door," I yelled at whoever was on the other side. But there was only laughing and whispering, but I couldn't completely hear what was being said. I started banging on the door hoping whoever would get the hint to open it but no, I just heard retreating footsteps.

"Ava calm down it's okay."

"No it is not okay we are locked in here." I practically yell at him.

"There is something else wrong what is it?" It was that my wolf doesn't like being locked in anywhere but especially not small spaces like the room we are in now, but I couldn't tell him that now could I.

"I get claustrophobic," I say remembering what my mum had told me to say in a situation like this.

"Oh, that can't be fun."

"No it is not," we sit in silence for a few minutes but my wolf is not liking this and it is getting worse. I try the door again but still, it doesn't budge. I start to pace trying to calm my wolf but nothing is working. I notice the window it is a little high for a normal human but I could reach it. I launch myself at the wall and grab onto the ledge I pull myself up ignoring the questions from Cody and try to open the window that will take me outside and get me out of this room but it won't budge either.

"What is wrong with this window!" I say as I jump down to the ground.

"They were sealed for weatherproofing, so they won't open." all the sudden I feel overwhelming panic rise up and I can feel my wolf coming to the surface.

"This cannot be happening no no no!" I run back to the door trying at it again but getting the same results.

"What can't be happening, are you okay."

"No, I'm not okay." I manage despite my fangs starting to come out. I can feel my claws starting to dig into my hands as I had held my hands in tight fists. I look up at Cody sure my eyes are glowing red. "I am so sorry Co--" that is all I can manage before a pain takes over my body and I fall to my knees.

"Ava!" Cody gets down next to me and puts his hand on my back.

"No get away I don't want you to get hurt."

"Why would I get hurt?"

"I could hurt you."

"You wouldn't."

"You don't know th--" my words are cut off as I can't speak and my body shakes and then my body feels completely different but not just feels like it is. I turn and look at myself and I am a wolf, like an actual wolf. My fur is a reddish color much like the wolf from my dream, with that thought realization strikes those dreams were either warning or foreshadowing. But if it was then in the dream why was I seeing all these people watching me what did that mean.

That can be for another time right now I should be worried about the fact that I just turned into a wolf in a locked room with Cody. I turn my head to look at him to see his reaction, he looks shocked or confused but not scared as I would have expected.

He steps closer to me but I back up instinctively but that was more from my wolf than me. He gets down on his knees and looks like he was praying then he looks up at me ever so slightly. This action calms my wolf I guess in a way and I cautiously approach him. He puts his hands on either side of my head by my ears.

"It's okay, I'm not scared," he says calmly and quietly. He moves so that his back is against a wall and motions for me to go over to him, so I do. I first sit down then lay down curled up with my head in his lap. His hand comes to rest on my back and I let my eyes close as he gently pets me.

We sit like that for several minutes until I hear a noise, the noise of footsteps approaching possibly someone who is going to let us out. I jump up onto all fours startling Cody who must have dozed off.

"What is it princess," he asks. I paw at my ear trying to indicate what I meant seen as I couldn't speak. He quickly gets up and puts his ear to the door.

"Someone is coming and they aren't that far away." he looks at me now sitting on the floor next to him. "What am I going to do you're a wolf." it is at that moment that I start to feel like I felt before I turned into a wolf so I get up and go to where our stuff is in a pile on the floor on the opposite side of the table from the door so that if I don't turn back before the door is opened I can hopefully be somewhat hidden.

The door handle rattles and keys jangle on the other side the handle turns slowly and then the door opens.

"What is going on in here," an old man the janitor probably says as he enters the room Cody stays silent. "Well, will one of you explain," he says now looking at me as I stand up on my now human legs.
