As soon as I closed the door, Daryl came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. He proceeded to kiss my neck. I smiled and leaned back.

"Someone's a little eager tonight," I chuckled.

"Guess you being a married woman now, makes you irresistible," he said.

I turned and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Well, Mr. Dixon. I have to admit that you being a married man has no effect on me whatsoever," I teased.

"Bullshit," he said quickly sweeping me off my feet and laying me on the bed.

He hovered over me, looking more radiant than he ever had before. Maybe it was because he was a married man. Or maybe it was the fact that he actually chose me to be his forever. I knew a long time ago that he was mine. After everything we'd been through, how could he not be? He acknowledging feeling the exact same way, made this moment perfect. He was perfect.

"What are you thinking about?" he asked.

I pulled him closer and kissed him. His hand slowly made its way from my waist to my chest, his touch making my blood boil with desire.

"Make love to me, Daryl," I whispered when I paused for a breath.

He obliged within seconds. Our bodies moved as one as we made love for the first time as husband and wife. It was exhilarating. I wrapped my arm around his once we'd finished. Our bare bodies underneath the covers as we intertwined our hands together.

"You never told me what you were thinking. Before we got to it," Daryl said.

"Just...the fact that we really did this. You know, actually became husband and wife. I never knew that you wanted this. We never talked about it," I said.

He pulled me closer to him.

"I want you. However long that is and I hope it's a long ass time. It's hard to picture my life without ya now," he said.

I reached my hand up and gently pulled his face towards me.

"You're a liar," I said.

"Am not. The hell you think I'm lying about?" he started asking defensively.

I went ahead and moved to straddle him. I intertwined our hands and kissed every one of his fingers.

"You lied to me about having a way with words. You do. It's your own unique way. And I like your way with words," I said.

He smirked then quickly sat up and started tickling me.

"Daryl...Carl and Judith might be sleeping by now," I whispered as best as I could with Daryl's hands not letting up.

He chuckled then stopped.

"Thought we were gonna have our first fight as husband and wife for a second there," he said.

I caught my breath before answering.

"Well, I should have kept it going then," I said jokingly.

"I definitely wouldn't have let up if you had," he said poking my side.

I went up and kissed him. I placed my head on his chest when we parted. It was quiet for a while.

"Now, what is it that you're thinking?" he asked.

"What tomorrow will bring," I said softly.

"Rick will come up with a good plan," he said.

"I know he will. I don't doubt that. I just...we are so close. To freedom, to the end of the Saviors. You really think Dwight will keep his word and help us out?" I asked looking over at him.
