Daryl came up to me and took my hand.

"You all right?" he asked as we started walking.

"Yeah. You?" I said looking over at him.

"Gonna be a whole lot better once this shit is over with," he said.

"Me too," I said.

He then stopped and kissed me deeply.

"What was that for?" I asked a little breathless once we parted.

"Just cause," he said kissing my forehead.

"Come on," he continued.

We walked and walked until we finally reached a clearing. Maggie and the others were waiting for us there. I went up and hugged her tightly.

"You okay?" I asked.

"I'm fine. Did you take care of the ones on the road?" she said.

"Yup. Now to the main event," I said.

"Exactly," she said.

We kept on going. The sun was high but it wasn't too hot. I stopped, closed my eyes and allowed myself to take in a deep breath. It was actually a beautiful day. I opened my eyes and looked out into the horizon. After today, there would be more days like this. Days where we could actually stop and enjoy the view.

"You okay?" Daryl came up and asked me.

I looked over at him.

"Yeah. I'm good. Just taking the time to enjoy the view," I said.

"We'll have more time to do that once this is done. I promise. But right now, we gotta keep going. Come on," he said extending his hand to me.

I took it and we joined the rest of the group.

"How much further?" he asked Ezekiel.

"We grow closer. Yonder. Over the ridge," he replied.

We kept on going.

"So. You two think of any baby names yet?" Jerry asked hanging back.

That made me chuckle.

"It's a little too early for that, Jerry. We haven't really had time to discuss baby names just yet," I replied with a smile.

"Well, I'll have you know that 'Jerry' would be a good name for a boy. Or a girl. It really works for either," he said.

I looked over at him. I hadn't known him long but it was easy to see that he was always this upbeat. It was a nice change of pace.

"We'll definitely be keeping that in mind," I said.

"Sweet," he retorted then headed over next to Ezekiel.

"You aren't serious, right?" Daryl asked softly.

"What? Jerry is a good name," I replied taking a sip of water from a canteen I had brought.

I then handed it to him.

"But for a girl?" he retorted.

"We'll discuss baby names another time, okay?" I said kissing his cheek.

He took a swig of water.

"And I'm gonna want your input. It's only fair since you kinda put him or her in me and all," I said.

He spit almost all of the water he'd taken out, at that remark. I couldn't help but laugh. He cleared his throat. I grabbed his hand and led him to the front with Rick and Maggie.
