On our way over, hardly anyone was seen. Were they all in the church? Were the people who needed to be tended to getting the attention they needed?

"Hey," Rick said interrupting my train of thought.

I looked at him.

"Everyone is fine. Those who were wounded, they're resting right now. Michonne wanted to come but I told her that you would have wanted her to get her rest. Rosita sends her best," he said.

"She's up? She's okay?" I asked.

"She's fine. The bullet went clear through. Her shoulder is gonna be sore for a few days but she will recover," he said.

"That's good," I said.

We had made it to the church and everyone except Daryl, Rick and I stayed outside.

"I'll see you inside," Daryl said kissing my cheek.

He left Rick and I alone.

"So. You're walking me down the aisle?" I said looking at Rick.

"I probably should have asked, huh?" he said.

"Rick, you're my uncle. And the closest thing I've had to a father since I lost mine. And then Hershel so technically, you're my third option," I said teasingly.

"Oh. Good thing to know I'm at least a consideration," he teased back.

We laughed.

"But seriously, I can't think of anyone better to give me away," I said.

He wrapped his arms around me and held me close then kissed my forehead.

"I'd be honored," he said when we parted.

He held out his arm to me and I took it. He opened the door and we made our way down the aisle.

"I wish I had a bouquet for you," he leaned over and whispered.

"This isn't a traditional wedding so it's okay. I won't hold it against you," I whispered back.

Everyone was here. Eric and Aaron, Enid, Carl, Jesus, Morgan, Carol, Judith and even the King. Maggie was standing on the opposite side of Daryl. My maid of honor. Obviously. I smiled widely at her and she did the same. There were others that I intended to get to know. I then looked back toward the man that was standing at the end of the aisle. There was no one in the room but Daryl and I. We looked right at each other. I saw my future in his eyes. We were meant to have a future together. And I would fight for that future. For however long that may be, I would not stop fighting. He was smiling immensely and there was no way of stopping mine. Rick and I reached the end, he kissed my cheek and then handed me over to Daryl. I held Daryl's hand tightly. We looked to Gabriel and waited for him to do his thing.

"We are gathered here today to join Amelia Sanchez and Daryl Dixon in holy matrimony. Now, there is no doubt in my mind that these two truly love one another so, per the groom's request, we'll go straight to the vows. Daryl, there was something that you prepared?" Gabriel stated.

Daryl and I turned to look at one another. He looked extremely nervous. And so was I in all honesty. He took in a few breaths and looked right at me.

"You more than anyone knows I ain't got a way with words. But, I just...I want you to know that there isn't anything in this world that I wouldn't do for you. You're everything to me and I'm real glad we crossed paths back in that abandoned house. I love you. And I will always love you. Until the end," he said.

He never ever needed to tell me much for me to know how he felt. And with the words he just said, I felt every single one. I smiled widely as the tears fell. Happy tears for once in a long time.
