I inhaled and exhaled deeply. I reloaded my rifle and held it tightly. When I got back to the cars, there was hardly anyone there. The Saviors that had become walkers were now feeding on other Saviors that had fallen. I started to take them out. Didn't take long for the others to join in. An arrow pierced the head of a walker right next to me. I looked up and saw Daryl coming toward me. He stopped when he saw the expression I had then picked up his pace.

"You good? What happened?" he asked placing his hand on my cheek.

"Eric...he..." I began.

"Amelia. Is...Where's Eric?" Aaron asked coming up to me.

"He's...Aaron," I said.

He took one look at me then headed toward the tree where I last saw Eric.

"Aaron, wait!" I shouted.

I ran in the same direction. Aaron had gotten to the tree. Eric was no longer there.

"Eric! Eric!" Aaron yelled.

Eric had turned and I knew it. I started to cry again. There was growling coming from a few feet to the left of us. Eric's corpse was making its way into the woods. I cupped my hand over my mouth. Aaron slowly walked over in the same direction. He had started to cry. I went up and grabbed his arm. Scott had joined me.

"He's there. Eric's there...I can't...I can't just let him..." Aaron said.

I held onto his arm tightly.

"Aaron, it's not him," Scott said.

"Aaron...we have to go," I said shakily.

"No. No..." Aaron cried.

Scott and I held him back and started guiding him back to the cars. Aaron looked back.

"Don't look back, Aaron. Don't look back," I said.

He leaned on me and started sobbing uncontrollably. I held onto him and guided him back to the others. Scott and I leaned him against one of the cars. I went up to Daryl and wiped away the tears.

"Eric...um...he...he didn't," I exhaled.

Daryl came up to me and held me in his arms. I tightened my grip on him.

"I'm sorry. I know you guys were close," he said.

"The guns aren't here. We have to go now, people," Tobin said.

I straightened myself up. I wiped my face thoroughly.

"You didn't find the weapons?" I asked looking up at Daryl.

"Nah. They must have beaten us to them. But we're gonna get them back," he said.

Just then, the sound of a baby's cry was heard. I turned around and watched Rick with a baby in his arms, heading toward us.

"She was inside?" Tobin asked.

"Yes she was. Look I have a stop to make and Daryl's got his bike. Maybe she can go back with you or Scott," Rick said.

"She can go with me," Aaron said.

I looked over at him.

"I can uh...take her to the Hilltop. She'll be safe there," he continued.

"Aaron. Are you sure?" Rick asked him.

"Eric and I were gonna go...uh. We were gonna go there after and update Maggie. So...that's what I'm gonna do. Please. I have to," Aaron said.

"I'll go with him," I said.

"Yeah?" Daryl said.

"I promised Eric before...I will meet you back at home okay? Be careful," I said kissing him.
