The next morning, Daryl and I were busy from the second we woke up. We were getting the last minute things in order. The house looked almost bare from all the things we had decided to pack. The Saviors we had with us had gone out to distract the walkers from the gate. They'd been gone for a while. I honestly wasn't all that sure if they would come back but at the same time, I really didn't care much about it. There were other things we had to think about. Enid and Tara were gonna stay behind and look after the others who decided to stay.

"If they come, you know where to go?" I asked Tara as we kept moving things into place.

"Yeah. Rosita showed me the secret passageway Sasha had made before the both of them headed out to the Sanctuary," she replied.

I smiled.

"What?" she asked.

"She's still taking care of us...even...even if she's not here anymore," I said.

"Yeah...she is," she said.

"Thanks for staying behind. They'll be safe with you and Carl," I said.

"I want our people safe. I gotta be here firsthand to make sure that happens. And Carl shouldn't have all the weight put on his shoulders," she said.

"Agreed," I said.

Rick was now gathering all those who were going out with us.

"I better go and listen to the game plan once more. I'll see you when we get back," I said.

"Do me a favor and make sure you all do," she said.

I hugged her tightly.

"Done," I said when we parted.

I made my way over to where Rick and the others had gathered. There were gonna be two different groups of people that would be heading out. One lead by Maggie and the other by Rick. This way, we could keep tabs on what Negan and his Saviors were doing. Daryl had the map Dwight had given us, on top of the hood of one of the cars. I went and rested my hand on his back. He looked over and quickly kissed my forehead.

"All right. We'll stick to this road. Keep to the trees. We'll get there quicker. Let's us keep an eye on the road that way," he said.

"Yeah. If they're planning anything, we'll see it," Rosita chimed in.

"You think we can trust Gregory? With what he told us?" Michonne asked.

"Speaking of which, where is that little chicken shit? I haven't seen him around since I woke up," I said.

"We locked him up inside the house. He knew I wouldn't let him walk around free. He knew he was coming back to that. He doesn't believe in anything except himself. And he'd have to believe in the Saviors a whole lot to send us into a trap and think it'd work out for him," Maggie said.

"Unless Dwight didn't tell him. That asshole could be setting us up," Daryl said.

"There could be a lot of things going on. But a lot of it we're not sure about. Which is why we have to see exactly what the hell is going on," I said.

"She's right. We won't know until after this whole mess is done," Rick said.

He picked up the map, folded it then placed it in his back pocket. I then caught sight of Morgan quickly making his way to the front gate. I looked over and he started pacing right by it. Carol went ahead to see what was going on and I followed.

"Morgan? Morgan what is it?" she asked as we got closer.

Morgan looked to be confused about something.
