Once we were on the other side, we walked a few minutes before we found the group again. They had waited for us. Carl came up and gave me a hug when he saw the both of us.

"I'm sorry. I didn't want to head to the Hilltop without you guys. I asked them to stop," he said.

"It's cool. Now let's move," Daryl said.

He held out his arms for Judith and Carl handed her to him. Daryl then went and took the lead.

"Everything okay?" Carl asked after Daryl had gone.

"Yeah. Everything is fine," I said.

I wrapped my arm around him and we kept walking. We walked for another half hour before we had reached the dirt road that led to Hilltop. We made our way closer to the gates.

"Open the gates!" Cal yelled.

The gates opened and I was relieved to see everyone was still okay. I smiled widely when I saw Enid jogging toward us. Of course she embraced Carl first. They were so cute together. I was glad they had found each other in all this. They shared a kiss then she came up to me.

"Hey, Enid," I said hugging her tightly.

"You guys made it back. Maggie told me that the Saviors stopped her on the road when they were on their way to Sanctuary. They told her that they had gone to Alexandria. We hoped you'd make it back," she said when we parted.

"Well we did make it back. All thanks to Carl, actually. He led us all to safety. I'm so proud of him," I said reaching over and giving him a hug.

I looked up just as Carol was making her way over to us. I ran up to her and embraced her tightly.

"Are you okay? We got your letter. All the fighters? Gone?" I asked.

She nodded.

"Ezekiel, Jerry and I were all who came back," she said.

I hugged her again.

"I'm sorry," I whispered.

We parted and then she and Daryl shared a hug. Maggie jogged over to the group.

"You guys are safe," she said with a smile.

"And so are you. How are you feeling?" I asked.

She sighed and looked at me, her eyes filled with sorrow.

"Come here," I said embracing her tight.

"I have some news," I said once we parted.

I wanted to take her mind off all she's been through for a few minutes. I led her away from the group.

"Good or bad?" she asked.

I smiled and placed my hand on my stomach. She looked at me and her eyes widened immediately.

"It's really good," I said still beaming.

"When...when did you find out?" she asked.

"The day Tara and I left here," I said.

"Oh my God. Amelia, that's wonderful," she said hugging me again.

"What's going on?" Enid asked, clearly taking notice of our excitement.

"Yeah. You could hear the squeals from outside the gates. What is it?" Carol came up and asked.

"I'm pregnant," I said softly.

"What? Oh my gosh! That's great!" Enid exclaimed hugging me again.

"I thought Daryl looked a little too cheery, considering," Carol said.
