Part 3

i fell asleep to the feeling of a car driving, and woke up to the sound of waves crashing against the sand. 

i knew that sound perfectly, g, j and i went to the beach every year on break. 

i rushed awake and saw jack out, talking to someone on the phone. i got out of the car and he smiled at me and said goodbye to whoever he was talking to. 

j- hey sleeping beauty

i smiled at him and he took me over to the sand. 

a- what are we doing here?

j- well, that was g, i was asking him if you were free for a week...

i looked him confused. 

j- we're going on a road trip!

a- seriously? i've always wanted to go on a road trip!

j- j told me

a- oh but i didn't bring any clothes...

j- the guys packed you a bag

a- awh they're so sweet. 

he took me over to the back of the jeep and it showed a bunch of bags, packed. 

j- i think they mentioned packing a swimsuit. 

he handed me the keys and i jumped into the back, he'd put the backseats down and put a mattress, he's hung curtains over the windows and fairy lights are around the inside roof. 

it was gorgeous. 

i closed the boot door and looked through the bags. i found my bikini and proceeded to put it on. i put all my stuff back into my bag and went back out. 

jack was already changed and in the water, he waved me over. 

i walked through the sand, the sun was rising and i went into the water, hip height. i watched jack as he dived and disappeared into the water. i saw him coming closer to me and all of a sudden he was tickling me. 

i fell into the water, by trying to get away, and jack dived under with me. he lifted me out of the water and we spun around before falling back. 

we sat down for a minute on the sand, i laid back, watching the midday sky. 

jack and i are laying side by side, our bodies are reflecting the sun peeking through the shade of an overgrown tree. 

we let our extremities touch. our ankles, fingers, arms. the feel of his skin sets my insides on fire. 

i closed my eyes and let the breeze of the sun brush the hair out of my face. i can feel jack's eyes on me. i smile and face him, he smiles back at me. 

a- you're eyes are so pretty

j- you're so pretty

i moved closer and hugged him. 

a- i'm so lucky to have you as my best friend

j- love you addy

a- love you too jack, thankyou for taking me here. 

j- of course, but we better get on the road

we got up but took some pictures before leaving. we hopped in the car, i offered to drive but jack didn't want to mention where we were going. 

we started driving and i was editing some pictures on my laptop. 

j- hey addy, did you see what mikey posted?

a- no, what?

he passed me his phone and mikey posted a picture of us from years ago. 

a- jack, this is from years ago, when we dated.
