Part 23

-four months ago-

addi's pov

a- kole, i need you to stay calm, i've been planning this for months and now is time. when i say go, you're going to climb out that old hatch door and run, run as fast as you can down the street until you reach this address-

i wrote down logan's address on a piece of paper. 

a- then i want you to tell him that you've come from me, tell him not to worry, i am fine and that i love them all very much

he nodded, eyes full of fear when i mentioned the plan. 

k- b-but what about you? i can't leave you....

a- you won't be, once logan knows where i am everything will be okay, i trust him. just please go, run and don't look back. i promise i'll be with you soon.

he nodded in guilt. i heard footsteps and nodded at kole. he knew it was time. we moved towards the hatch and i gave kole a leg up. 

he gave me a last glance, sadness, i smiled at him before pushing him the rest of the way through. 

then he was gone, disappeared into darkness. i feel like he is my sam, and he's leaving me again. but it's okay, i'll see him again soon.

i don't hear them for the rest of the night. i fell asleep cold, with the loss of kole killing me. 

-logan's pov-

here i am, eat, sleep, wait, repeat. i don't know what to do, i know we have to wait but it's so hard. jack is never around, or at the why don't we house, he's always with magcon. jake nor i have vlogged in months, we can't bear to show a world without addi in it. 

lydia is forcing me to eat so here i am, going through music, shoveling food into my mouth. addi's music starts playing, it's fantasy. i remember the little things, when she told us about her other music, when she first saw kong and when she fell down the stairs but still laughed at herself. 

lydia appears at the doorway looking at me confused. seconds later, the boy, the same boy who was at the house of her kidnappers. i stood to my feet, phone in hand, jack on speed dial. 

i dial his number without taking my eyes off the boy. 

five minutes later and we've offered the boy everything, he's eating. jack, jg, jj and jake burst in the door. jake is shocked as he recognises the boy. we sit down around the boy, he looks taken back. 

l- don't worry, i promise you're safe now

k- i'm sorry, she told me to come here, and to look for logan, she told me to find jack and a-and tell him t-that um

jake- hey don't worry, finish eating and you can tell us later

we watched as the boy ate each bite with caution of his surroundings. 

-an hour later-

he sat us down, and took deep breaths before talking. 

k- i'm sorry for barging in, she told me to find logan. you see, she always told me stories about logan and jake, how they protected her and how she understood your protection over her because she has that protection over me. she told me about her love for a guy called jack, and how she hopes i will experience love like that some day. 

i looked over at jack and he was blushing, tearing up from the words of addison. 

k- she told me about her brothers in something called magcon, she told me so much. but one thing in particular that she would see me again one day, and i'm here to help you bring her home. my name is kole, i'm 7 years old and addison sent me.
