Part 48

today is kole's birthday party and we're still an hour away. his mother got my number and has been texting me repeatedly about how excited he is. i've missed him so much. the boys are going to do a performance and my gift for him is coming with logan and jake. 

i'm laying with jack in his bunk, we're listening to bazzi's new album and i'm playing with his rings. i can feel his chest rise and fall with every breath, his fingers ran across my arm as he shut his eyes slowly. i watched the roof of the bunk as i heard his breaths become slower, i shut my eyes and fell asleep to the feeling of the road beneath us. 

i woke up to corbyn turning up the volume on my phone, causing jack and i to jolt awake. i took out the headphones and saw jack rubbing his eyes, i yawned and we got out, heading over to the door that was now opened. 

we stepped out and in front was a gorgeous house, jack's family had gone home so it was just christina, tate, the boys and i. jake and logan should already be inside. jack took my hand and i smiled at him as we followed everyone up. 

the door opened to reveal a woman who smiled as she saw it was us. 

m- my name's mandy

she opened the door and hugged us all, then when she got to me, a tear formed in her eyes. she hugged me again and smiled, thanked me. 

m- he told us everything and i'm so sorry you had to endure that, but thankyou ever so much for protecting him

a- of course, thankyou for giving him a second chance at a family

m- do you want to see him?

a- yes please

she showed us through the house, it was just as beautiful on the inside as the outside. i heard laughter and recognised it as logan's, jack squeezed my hand and i kissed his cheek before walking into the other room and coming face to face with kole. 

he got up from playing with kong to run to me and jumped up and hugged me. i could hear him crying and that made me cry, lucky i didn't wear makeup or it would've been everywhere. i didn't want to let go of him, the boys said hello to logan and jake while kole stayed in my arms. 

soon enough he jumped down and held my hand as he walked us over to where he was playing with his new toys. a man who i'm assuming was his father came inside and i stood up and shook his hand. 

a- nice to meet you, i'm addison

d- nice to meet you too, i'm dave

he got called into the other room and we continued to watch kole as he showed us his favorite things. 

k- my friends should be here soon, lily really wants to meet daniel, she said she would cry

d- i can't wait to meet her

a- how have you been buddy?

k- really good! i go to school now and i really like music, it's my favorite

jake- what do you play?

k- i like to play guitar, but i like making mixtapes with my teacher

a- coolest teacher ever

logan- you're going to do great things kole, i know it. 

the doorbell rang and kole's face lit up as he ran to see who it was. we stayed where we were, i moved closer to jack and he hugged me. soon, about twenty kids ran back into the room with kole.

i felt like i was going to cry again but jack held my hand and looked at me smiling. i got up and waved at the kids.
