unfortunately coachella is over, this weekend was amazing. we met so many new people and became close with everyone. the house became closer by the minute, we would have late night conversations about the weirdest things. before leaving, we made sure to keep in contact and thanked everyone for the amazing weekend.
-time skip-
it's been weeks and now we finally get to see the guys again. jake's driving us to the airport and looking after tux while we're gone. it's 2pm, and we're about to leave, but as always, jake is busy vlogging. we're watching, as he's doing something stupid outside, he notices us and smiles.
we eventually get into the car and head for the airport, the drive is nothing special, just jake telling us to be safe. once we're at the airport we continue the routine that we're used to.
our flight was longer than expected, but it didn't matter, tate and i slept majority while christina had enough time to finish some editing. by the time we landed it was midnight and i was more than excited to see everyone.
we got through security and felt like we were going to collapse at any minute. christina knew her way around which helped us out a lot, but when we were looking for a taxi, we saw five familiar faces instead.
before i could process my thoughts, tate and christina both left my side and ran to them. i saw jack's hair over them and ran around to be in his arms again. we swayed from side to side as he didn't let go. small tears of joy rolled down my cheeks as i saw his smile, he wiped the tears from my face with his thumb.
the moment was cut short when somebody coughed beside us. it was daniel, he held his arms out and i hugged him smiling. we eventually greeted everyone and got back into an uber, going back to the hotel.
christina was telling us about how much she can't wait to show us around, see her roommates and home. i yawned as i felt myself drifting, i lent my head onto jack's shoulder as he held my hand in his.
i felt jack carry me out of the car but got to my feet once we were out. i stumbled to my feet and realised we were in a hotel above the venue. we could see time square from the balcony of our room and it was gorgeous. i opened the window and stepped out as i noticed tate had the same idea. she was on her balcony next to me.
t- this is beautiful
a- absolutely stunning
we laughed before saying goodnight and heading back inside. to no surprise, jack was already fast asleep on the bed, i smiled to myself before changing, washing my face and crawling in beside him. he readjusted himself and held me close.
-next morning-
i woke up to the new york sunshine and the scent of coffee in the air. i rubbed my eyes and my vision adjusted to see jack in the doorway with a cup of coffee. i sat up and stretched before smiling, taking the coffee.
a- thankyou
we got ready for the day and on cue, everyone burst in the door. christina was smiling with anticipation, waiting to get out to her city.
c- who's up for an adventure?
we made our way down to the street and it was even more beautiful during the day. the boys had rehearsals in two hours so we didn't have long, christina started local. we walked into this little cafe where the ladies working all squealed when they saw christina.
she introduces us and we find out that christina had been coming to this cafe for years and is well known, we order drinks and head back out. when we were reaching the more busier parts of new york, we stopped in front of broadway.
t- hey look i finally made broadway
she smiled and posed in front of the huge sign, i took her photo and we laughed. we walked through central park while sipping our drinks, it looked like christina was determined to get somewhere, and fast.
i guess central park was a shortcut because we came out right in front of the empire state building, by standing underneath and looking up, tracing the windows, the building gave the illusion that it would fall at any minute.
christina led us inside, and up. it felt like the elevator ride went on for ages, this made zach more nervous by the second. we finally got off the elevator and walked through a doorway, christina made us shut our eyes and she guided us out.
my breath was taken back by the sudden gust of cold wind that touched my skin. my hand was still in jack's and i refused to let go, we heard christina laugh and she moved back.
c- okay on three, one, two, three!
on three we opened our eyes to be met with the entire view of new york city. we were at the top of the empire state building and could see for miles. we saw so far it made everyone feel empowered, happy and grateful.
i looked at christina and she smiled, breathing in the homely air she had missed. you can tell she loves her home, i wish i had that sense of relief when i went back to nebraska. i looked back and saw jack smiling, at both the view and me. i held his hands as he spun me around so that we were both facing the view.
he started humming the words to 'best part', i looked up and he kissed my nose, making me smile even wider. i looked around and saw everyone in the same awe that we were, corbyn and christina looked like they were reunited with their special place.
everyone was happy, it felt like time stopped up here and nothing could tear us down. soon the perfect moment was ended again by time, we realised that the boys had to be at rehearsals in twenty mintues.
we reached the street again and were in a hurry to get to the venue. we ended up running back and getting there just in time. whenever the boys are singing, it's like everything bad goes away, everything is in the moment, and the moment is perfect with them.
