Crossing roads, driving so fast like usual while holding a phone in my left hand leaning it in my ear.
“Hello? Hubby?” she greeted as she answered my phone call.
“I’m sorry.” I started. I’m used to this kind of stuff. Neglecting girls for that date that they are asking but why in a sudden I find it so hard to her?
“Ahe,*take a deep breath* sorry wifey. I-I can’t go for tonights date. I have some important things to do.” as I said that she immediately answered me without any hesitations.
“It’s okay hubby. We can have it tomorrow.” She answered. Yeah, she’s right tomorrow’s Miyumi’s birth day party. We can have the date tomorrow. But, wait a minute. This is so unusual. She’s really different than the others, freaking out the moment I will tell them to postpone the date I didn’t even promised. She’s really different and easy. She annoys me in that way.
“Okay wifey. Just take care.”
“You too. I love you.”
“I love you too. Bye.” I ended the conversation for I noticed that I finally arrived. I stopped the car. Looking around the place making me feel like I’m an alien. People around seems like this is the first time they ever saw a Ferrari car. I didn’t bother myself to get out, grabbed the phone back and dialed his number.
“Lumabas ka na diyan ayoko ng pinaghihintay. I’m giving you a minute or else.” I paused a bit. Looking at Rj’s whole body’s photograph. “I want to inform you that all people who made me waiting are now in funeral.” And then a smirked slowly flusked in my lips.
‘You’re really like him, no doubt.’ I said to myself looking at his picture again.
“Okay. Okay. Easy ka lang dude! Chill lang. Lalabas na ako.” And then the moment he said that I saw him stepping outside a door. Tapos lumapit na siya sa akin.
I opened the cars door for him. Shit! Umupo siya sa likuran.
“Ang yaman ko namang driver.” I murmured as he sat on the chair. Lumabas siya ulit at pumasok ulit sa loob this time ay sa tabi ko na.
“So, bakit mo ako pinatawag? Anong kailangan mo sa akin.” Tanong niya at bago paman ako sumagot ay tumingin muna ako sa kanya. Two perfect. Babaguhin lang ng konti at siyang siyang na talaga itong kaharap ko ngayon.
“Just shut your mouth and let me handle the things, wag kang mag alala. Kikita ka ditto ng malaki.” I said and then I started to open my wallet. I give him 15K. “Yan lang muna sa ngayon, saka na ang bonus kapag nagawa mo na ng maayos ang trabaho mo.” Sabi ko tapos ay nagpaharurut na ako ng takbo ng sasakyan.
Nung nasa sasakyan pa kami naiirita talaga ako sa sobrang kaignorante niya. Akalain mong ini-on-off pa ang switch ng ilaw sa loob ng sasakyan at halatang natutuwa siya sa ginagawa niya. Nilagay pa niya ang mukha niya sa tapat ng aircon kaya ayan biglang bumaho yung ihip ng hangin sa loob kaya binuksan ko na ang bintana. Pasalamat talaga siya at malaki ang pangangailangan ko sa kanya to save a life of a friend kung hindi life niya ang mabubura ng maaga.
Huminto kami sa isang mall. Nagulat ata siya sa kung saan ko siya dinala. Bumaba na ako at naiwan siya sa loob.
“Bababa ka o pasasabugin kita kasama ang sasakyang to?” tanong ko at biglang sumimangot ang mukha niya. Bumaba na siya at napatingin sa harap ng mall.
“Ano namang gagawin natin dito?” tanong niya ng hindi parin inaalis ang tingin sa mall, ignorante talaga.
“I said I will handle the stuff. Malalaman mo lang mamaya.” Tapos nag umpisa na akong maglakad. Pumunta kami sa mens wear. Kumuha ng mga damit at tinapon sa mukha niya, buti naman at nasalo niya mahal pa yan sa buhay niya kapag nagkataong nasira yun.
