"This is my new number. Don't forget to save it, Hana."
"I won't. Come see me soon. There's still some of your stuff here."
"Okay, but... everyone knows, don't they?"
"It'll be okay, Winnie."

Jin wasn't sure how she convinced him to drive her all the way to the college she spent the last semester at. All she really told him was that she had some things to pick up.

She also told him, which was largely responsible for convincing him to go, that if he didn't want to go with her, then she would happily go alone. Jin definitely didn't want her going alone, not with her father actively searching for her.

It helped a little that Namjoon made good on his promise to buy her a new phone. Winter had been suspiciously touchy with Namjoon ever since the night she spent in the bed with him and Jin.

When he pulled into the parking lot outside the college, she leaned over and kissed his cheek.

"Wait for me," she smiled softly before climbing out of the car. Jin fixed the black hat on his head, then turned on the radio to help pass the time while she was gone.

He sat for at least forty-five minutes or more. Some time had passed before he began keeping track. Jin thought he might have to go in after her if she didn't return to the car soon.

If he wasn't so easy to recognize, he would have walked in with her to begin with. However, Winter reassured him that her friend was waiting for her.

Finally, Jin saw her step out of the building. Unfortunately, she was stomping after a boy around her age, a fellow student it seemed. Jin shifted in his seat, eyeing the situation carefully.

He watched on as Winter grabbed the boy by the bag that was thrown over his shoulder. She yanked him back, and he whirled to face her.

Another girl, black-haired, dark-eyed, and clearly Korean, stepped up behind Winter, wrapping her arms around Winter's shoulders as if she was subduing her. Jin began to fumble around the car in search of a face mask.

He glanced up just in time to see Winter slap the boy she had walked out after. The second girl, who Jin could assume was her friend, was quick to try and drag Winter away by her arm.

Jin had never seen Winter so furious. There were tears in her eyes, but they never fell. Her uncontrollable anger kept them in place.

Jin continued to watch, a sort of panic stilling his entire body. Winter suddenly pulled a small bottle out of the pocket of her sweater, then threw it spitefully at the boy. The lid popped loose, and a hundred little white pills spilled out over the pavement.

Finally, he found what he was looking for. Jin put the mask over his nose and mouth, then pushed out of the car in a hurry.

He jogged over to the scene, just in time to step between Winter and the boy, who was taking dangerous steps towards her.

"Enough, Winter. Let's go," Jin said in as deep of a voice as he could fake without it sounding ridiculous.

"You're a bastard," she snapped at the boy as Jin grabbed her wrist.

"It doesn't matter. Let's just go," her friend urged, holding onto Winter's other arm. "He doesn't care."

"Yeah, go on, Winter," the boy spat back hatefully. "I tried to do you a favor, but you're just an ungrateful brat I guess."
