"What did you find?"
"Your daughter is with someone named Namjoon."
"Namjoon? Do you know his last name?"
"No, but I have a phone number."***
Hana stirred after a long sleep. Her body ached a little less than the day before, which was as much as she could hope for considering.
When her eyes opened, and her head turned, Hana was greeted by a gentle, sleepy, dimpled smile that sent warm tingles through her sore body.
"Good morning," Namjoon said softly. He leaned up from the chair he was sitting in to rest his elbows on the edge of the bed. "How are you feeling?"
"Better," she smiled back. "How long have you been here?"
"All night," Namjoon shrugged. "Don't worry about it. We took the week off for you and Winter both."
"Winter." Hana pushed her body upright. "Is she okay? You have to keep an eye on her. Her father has my phone now, and he--"
"Take a breath, Hana," Namjoon frowned, putting a hand on her shoulder. He eased her back into the pillow carefully, knowing she must be hurting all over.
"You can't let him take her," Hana repeated, eyes watering now. "Winter, she... she's so scared of what he might do. She'd rather die than let him..."
"I know." Namjoon dropped his hand to close his fingers around hers. "She's with Yoongi hyung. We'll protect her, Hana. We'll protect both of you."
He squeezed her hand tightly, and she nodded her appreciation.
"Winter is my best friend. She's like my sister, and I can't lose her. I tried so hard... I tried so hard to keep my phone away from him." Hana took a deep breath. "I'm sorry."
"Don't be," Namjoon shook his head. "Hana, you fought for her. That's all anyone could ask for from a friend. She was more upset that you were hurt because of her. Winter doesn't want to lose you either."
"I'm so happy," Hana sniffed. "I'm so happy that you guys found her. She needed someone to find her. I never thought... I would ever be this close to Bangtan."
"Maybe it was fate," Namjoon laughed a little, brushing his thumb over her bruised knuckles. "Either way, our lives are better with you and Winter in them."
"Do they really love her?" Hana asked, searching his eyes to make sure what he said next was the truth.
"They do," he answered honestly. "Hoseok and Jin hyung. Hell, even Yoongi still has feelings for her, I think. She's hard not to love, you know."
"You don't love her anymore?" Hana took her bottom lip between her teeth. She remembered a time, a little while back, when Namjoon had been involved with Winter the same as the others.
"No, I... I like someone else," he admitted, his cheeks flushing a little. "I met her thanks to Winter, so I guess I love her for that."
He lifted their hands and brought her knuckles to his lips to kiss them tenderly. She fought so hard, so bravely, to protect Winter. Hana really was someone Namjoon could admire.
"I like you, too," Hana said suddenly, bringing his attention back to her eyes.
"Good," Namjoon beamed. "That makes me... really happy."
