"Here is the phone, sir."
"You said a girl dropped this off?"
"Yes, Mr. Cary. An American girl. She came in with a man."
"A man? What did he look like?"
"Dark hair. He wore a hat and mask."
"Alright. Thank you."

Hoseok tilted his head back and let out a slow, tired breath. He brought his sleeves up to wipe the sweat from his temples.

They had been practicing for hours, and everyone was starting to wear down. Hoseok told them that they should quit for the night, and they were all happy to do so. Even Jimin, who usually pushed on until he was perfect.

"Hoseok," Namjoon called his name. He walked over with his phone in his hand. "Jackson said the concert is over. They're all at a diner, if we want to join them."

"All?"

"Jackson, Winter, and two of the guys from VIXX." Namjoon's expression closely matched that of Hoseok. Neither were super happy about Winter being taken to eat with so many people, especially guys.

"Which two?"

"Leo and Ken," Namjoon shrugged. "Do you want to go? He said he'll bring her home if we're busy."

"Let the others go home and rest. I'll go."

"Yoongi hyung will want to go, too. Jin hyung might as well."

"Don't tell them," Hoseok urged. "They worked hard today. They deserve to relax." He bent down to grab a sweater from his bag, shrugging it on over his sweaty white tank. "Take them home, Namjoon. I'll go take care of Winter."

"What should I tell them, then? It isn't like they won't ask where you went."

"You're the brains of this operation," Hoseok teased with a goofy grin. "I'm sure you'll think of something. Text me directions to the diner. See you at home." Hoseok grabbed his bag and slung it over his shoulder.

Winter sipped at her tea, watching Ken bicker with Leo in a mostly one sided discussion. They were as funny as she thought they would be, and Ken was just as animated.

"What about you, Winter?" Leo asked her suddenly, turning his gaze to her. "Which of us is your favorite?"

Winter didn't necessarily want to answer the question, so she did what Winter often does. She avoided it altogether with a distraction.

"I'm kind of tired." She stretched her arms over her head, arching her back like a cat, which brought everyone's gaze down to her lowcut top very briefly.

"Want me to take you home, kitten?" Jackson asked, reaching up to touch the ears on the headband he gave her. It matched her hair and suited her well.

"Aw, but I'm having so much fun. Aren't you having fun, Leo?" She batted her pretty, long eyelashes at him, and a blush crept into his cheeks.

"I can take her," a fifth voice joined the conversation. Jackson looked up as Hoseok approached their table. Jackson stood up,

"Hey, you came. Namjoon didn't come with you?"

"No, everyone was tired," Hoseok kept up his fake grin expertly. To everyone, he was a ray of sunshine, a person who was always happy. Only Winter knew better.
