"Did you trace the call?"
"You know this is illegal, don't you?"
"I don't care. Find her."
"I can send you an address soon, Mr. Cary."

Winter sat up, looking around the dark room with anxious eyes. It was too difficult to sleep.

She couldn't get her brain to stay quiet long enough to drift off, so she climbed over Yoongi to get out of the bed.

Before she could step away, her wrist was caught by a large hand she knew all too well. Winter turned to look down at Yoongi as he tiredly pushed himself upright.

"Where are you going?" He was admittedly concerned when he felt her slip out of the bed. Just two days before she was begging him to let her run away for their sake.

"Nowhere," she lied, tugging at her wrist. Yoongi held on a little tighter, forcing her to stay put.

"I'll come with you."

"You should sleep," she frowned. "I'm not going anywhere, Yoongi oppa."

"What's going on?" Hoseok's sleepy voice grumbled from the other side of the bed. He frowned as he hoisted himself into a sitting position. Hoseok looked over at Yoongi and Winter.

"I just can't sleep," she admitted finally. Winter pressed her doll-like lips together. Yoongi tossed the covers off of his legs, then turned to drop them over the edge of the bed.

"I'll come with you," Yoongi repeated, more stern than before. He stood up and stretched his arms over his head.

Winter glanced at Hoseok, then looked at Yoongi. She nodded her acceptance, then turned to leave the room. Yoongi followed behind her.

Hoseok flopped back down on his pillow, letting out a frustrated huff. He wasn't sure he was ready to share Winter with anyone else. It was hard enough knowing half of her heart belonged to Jin.

He let out a long groan, then dragged the blankets up over his head to bury himself under them. It was best just to go back to sleep, he figured, so that was what he did.

Winter took deep, unsteady breaths as she poured some water into a glass, then set the pitcher back in the refrigerator. Yoongi sat across the counter from her, resting his chin on his hand.

Everything about her was tense, on edge, as if she was scared of her own shadow. Yoongi hated the man that could put that much fear into her heart.

"I'm sorry I woke you up," Winter said after taking a sip of water. "I had to crawl over one of you to get out of bed."

"That's not your fault," he shrugged indifferently. "I don't mind. I'd rather be awake with you anyways."

"Because you're afraid I'll run," Winter rolled her bottom lip between her teeth. "I think it would be better for everyone if I did, but... I won't leave. I'll... have faith in you, Yoongi."

"No one wants to lose you, Winter," Yoongi reassured her. "We'll do whatever we have to do to keep you by our side. Whatever challenge we have to face. It doesn't matter."

"I thought... you didn't like me anymore," Winter admitted, looking down at her feet shyly. "I'm happy that I was wrong."

Yoongi grimaced a little, but quickly wiped his expression in favor of neutral stoicism. She didn't know about his talk with Hoseok, and she didn't need to know.
