"I'll find your daughter, Mr. Cary."
"For what I'm paying you, it better be quick. Do you understand?"
"Of course, Mr. Cary. No one can just disappear."

It didn't go unnoticed by anyone how close Jin stayed to Winter at all times in the next few days. From the time she woke up to the time she went to bed, Jin was there as much as he could be.

It was Jimin who asked the question first, since no one else seemed willing to do so. As they were sitting around the dinner table a few nights later, Jimin brought it up on his own.

"When did you and Winter get so close, Jin hyung? I thought she was closest to Hoseok hyung."

Hoseok lifted his head from his meal to glance in Jimin's direction. It wasn't as if he hadn't once thought so himself, but he wasn't particularly fond of the idea of making it seem like Jin wasn't allowed to be close to Winter. Even if it did bother him that she was always with another, he had no intentions of complaining.

"I'm learning new things," Winter smirked across the table at Jimin. "Things only an experienced man can teach me."

There was a collective blush around the entire table. Jungkook choked on his ramen, and Yoongi glared directly at Jin with a look that screamed a hundred curse words or more.

Hoseok tried hard to bite back his bubbling jealousy, though it surfaced quite visibly in his reddened face. Namjoom turned his face away entirely.

"Yah!" Jin put up his hands to wave them in a frantic defense. "It's not like that. I'm not teaching her anything."

His own cheeks were burning from embarrassment, while Winter just grinned at the table in amusement. She really could be a wicked little thing sometimes.

"Sure you are," she giggled. "Yesterday you taught me how to properly season a chicken breast."

The instant relief that swept over the dining room was almost as comical as the initial reaction. Their minds were running in so many directions, and Jin was blushing something fierce. They really all were too much fun.

"So he's like your big brother now?" Taehyung pouted. "I thought I was your favorite big brother."

"Of course you are," she reached across diagonally to lay her hand over Taehyung's. "You'll always be my favorite, Taehyung oppa."

He grinned at her, rolling his bottom lip between his teeth in a futile effort to hide his excitement. She was such a cute little sister to him. He just wanted to squish her little cheeks.

Yoongi's chair whined as he pushed it back from the table, tossing his chopsticks down next to his bowl.

"I'm not hungry." He left the room without another word, earning a few confused stares, as well as some that knew far too well what upset him so suddenly as they too were bothered by the same thing.

Winter let out a long sigh, then stood as well. She went to follow behind Yoongi, but Jin caught her by the wrist.

"At least finish eating," he furrowed his brow. "Yoongi can wait."

"I'll be back, oppa," she reassured him, bending down a little to plant a swift kiss on his cheek. "I'll finish eating then."
