"No, Mr. Cary, I don't know where she is."
"You're her best friend, Hana."
"She doesn't tell me everything. I haven't heard from her, sorry."
"Well, if you do, give me a call."
"Yes, Mr. Cary."***
Jin knew that they needed to do something fun to put a smile on the poor girl's face. She seemed empty, barely making any readable expressions in the next two days she spent at their dorm.
She insisted on sleeping on the couch, even though they offered to give her a bed to herself. Suga had a bed to himself anyways, so it was easy for him to give it up to her. Winter just wouldn't accept it.
It wasn't even that she protested vocally. She simply went to the couch to sleep every night, not giving a damn what anyone else did. Winter was an odd one, for sure. None of the members knew what to think of her excluding Hoseok.
They got together to decide where to take her the next day. They didn't have work, or any obligations, so they were free to take her wherever they pleased.
The next day, they shuffled her into the back of the van, squishing her between the window and Hoseok. He stole glances at her every now and then, curious to see what she might be thinking, though her expression gave little away.
It was Jimin and Taehyung's idea to go to an aquarium. They thought that seeing something pretty might make her happy again. There was a huge aquarium in Seoul that they thought would be perfect to take her to.
They went on a day, at a time, when there wouldn't be very many people. Luckily, it was almost entirely empty, so they basically had the place to themselves.
Hoseok was thankful that Taehyung and Jimin had suggested the idea, because Winter's black eyes widened in awe at the sights and exhibits in the aquarium.
They took her to one of the tunnels that went through a large tank full of bright, colorful fish and rather large sharks. It made Hoseok a little uneasy, but he couldn't complain when Winter looked so excited.
She stepped close to the glass, tilting her head up slightly to get a good look at everything. A fish swam by, close to her, and for the first time in days, she smiled. Her hand lifted to the glass to gingerly rest her fingertips against it.
Yoongi couldn't help but think of how pretty she looked when she smiled. It lit up her whole face, and it was contagious. Even his lips wanted to react with a grin of his own, though he forced them to remain still.
"Look," Jungkook pointed up as a huge shark passed overhead. Winter looked up, taking steps back as if she was following it. Unfortunately, she didn't bother to look behind her, and her back collided with Namjoon's firm chest.
"Careful," he chuckled, resting his hands on her shoulders to steady her. She glanced at him over her shoulder, then down at his large hand. Suddenly, she became fascinated by it.
Namjoon could see she was deep in thought, but he was entirely confused on what could be so interesting about his hands. He lifted them away, feeling a little awkward as if he had done something wrong.
"Wait," she blurted out, turning her body completely to grab his hand in hers. She held up one of her own, then pressed her palm to his. "Your hand is so big."
In comparison to hers, of course it was. She had small, dainty hands. Namjoon was sure even Jimin's hands were bigger than hers. It was weird, but he let her hold his hand to hers anyways.
"Mine's bigger," Taehyung boasted playfully. Namjoon was a little disappointed when she dropped his hand to venture over to Taehyung. He held up his hand for her to press to her own in comparison, and she was amazed at the size different.
