"How much longer?"
"Soon, Mr. Cary. Just a bit longer now."
"Work faster."
"I'm working as quickly as possible, Mr. Cary. She's a smart girl."

Winter dressed up nicely for the small dinner she agreed to go to. She put on a cute black skirt with a white blouse that hung loosely off of one shoulder. Her hair was up in a bun, leaving her bangs down to fall around her face.

Jin and Hoseok had to admire her a little before they left. She really was beautiful, in a dark, forbidden fruit sort of way.

However, she was a fruit they both had the pleasure of tasting, and it was nothing short of addicting.

"Jackson's here," she grinned back at them from the living room window. "Let's go, Jin oppa."

Winter skipped over to take Jin by the hand. She paused briefly, on her way to the door, to lean up and kiss Hoseok on the lips as a quick goodbye.

"Have fun," Hoseok muttered, waving as she dragged Jin through the front door. His shoulder slumped a little in defeat. He hoped that Winter would keep her promise.

"There's our favorite kitten," N smiled warmly as Jackson came into the diner with Winter and Jin trailing along behind him. "And Kim Seokjin. Always nice to see you, too."

"Likewise," Jin bowed his head a little to say hello to the two members of VIXX.

"Hello," Winter greeted in English with a small wave of her hand.

Jackson slid into the booth first, then Winter, then Jin. Leo leaned against the window with his elbow, glancing back and forth between Winter and Jin.

"We had so much fun last time, we wanted to meet again," N explained, propping his chin on his hand. He perked up suddenly. "Oh, and we got something for you, kitten."

He turned to Leo and held out his hand expectantly. Leo looked at N for a moment, then let out a soft sigh and fished something from the inside pocket of his black leather jacket.

"For me?" Winter tilted her head, watching the exchange curiously. "You really didn't need to get me anything."

"Ken saw it at a shop, and we both thought of you immediately." He held up a choker made of black ribbon. The most defining feature, which explained why it reminded them of her, was a little silver bell on the front of it.

Winter accepted it with an amused grin, rolling the little bell between her fingers to hear it ring quietly.

"I love it," she beamed up at N and Leo. "Thank you so much."

"No need to thank us. It just seemed perfect for our cute little kitten," N chuckled, completely unaware of the effect he was having on Jin.

The eldest member of Bangtan was barely able to contain himself. He had never been the super jealous type, not until Winter came into his life. She was like a magnet that drew people in, sometimes too close for comfort.

Just a word was enough to make his hands ball into fists against his knees. Our. It wasn't something he wanted to hear from anyone else regarding Winter. She wasn't theirs; she was his. She was Bangtan's.

Winter reached up to place it around her neck. Jackson leaned over to help her clasp it. Once it was hugging her neck gently, Winter flicked the little bell with that cat-like smirk of hers.

"It really does suit you," Leo told her, the smallest hint of a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.

"Now you can really put me on a leash, Jin oppa," she teased, tossing a flirtatious look over to Jin. His cheeks flushed a little, eyes blinking at her unexpectedly blunt remark.

"Ya, no one's putting anyone on a leash." Jin turned his eyes away from her, hoping it wasn't obvious how flustered she was easily able to make him.

"Are you coming to the next showcase?" Leo asked her, drawing her attention away from Jin. "I would think you would be attending with Bangtan."

"I'll be there," she nodded her head. "I go everywhere with them if I can."

"I'm curious, little kitten," N looked at Jin briefly. "Are you dating anyone?"

Winter turned to Jin, too, searching his expression for some hint as to what he wanted her to say. Part of her hoped he would answer for her, since it was his reputation on the line.

"Me," she hummed when he said nothing. If he didn't want to risk his reputation, she wouldn't do it either. She was, after all, a rescue from the hospital she ended up in for trying to kill herself.

"I'm just a stray they took in." She shrugged her slender shoulders. "But I love them all so much."

"Winter," Jin frowned down at her. She was nothing of the sort. Winter was a woman, and she held Hoseok and Jin's hearts in the palm of her hand.

Leo noticed the sudden change in Jin's expression, in the look in his eyes. He turned his attention back to Winter. She shifted nervously under Jin's heavy scrutiny.

"Is that true?" Leo asked Jin, sensing that Winter was lying out of some misguided idea that she had to lie to them. They had no intention of revealing Bangtan's secrets to the world. She didn't need to lie.

"No," Jin admitted after a moment. "No, it's not. She's with me and Hoseok."

A look of shame crossed Winter's expression then, which made it clear as to another reason she wanted to lie.

"You're both very lucky men," N sighed, leaning back against the booth. "She's a lovely thing."

"I knew Hoseok liked her," Jackson hit his hand against the table like he was proud of himself for being correct. "I'm surprised Namjoon backed down. I was rooting for him.

"Excuse me," Winter blurted out in her native tongue, rising to try and slip past Jin. Before she could, Leo reached across the table to catch her wrist.

She turned to him in surprise, her cheeks burning pink with an emotion he didn't quite understand. All he knew is her eyes went dark, almost black, and it concerned him.

"There's nothing to be ashamed of," he said softly.

"It's okay to love two people, kitten. Your heart is not a thing to be tamed or forced into submission. It's beautiful, and you shouldn't be afraid to let it be free," N added with a gentle smile.

Winter seemed to relax a little under Leo's touch, and she lowered herself back down into her seat, pressing her plump lips together in an attempt to smile.

"We're figuring it out as we go," Jin told them, clearing his throat. Leo glanced at him, then pulled his hand back to his lap. "It's all very new to us."

"I don't blame you," Jackson sighed. "Even if I had to share her, I would do it. Winter's the cutest little thing. I'd keep her away from BamBam though."

"We should order, hm?" Jin smiled as politely as he could, looking around at the other men sitting around the table.

He couldn't help the twisting in his gut. To them, Winter really was a forbidden fruit, a thing to crave that they could never taste. Jin knew that made her all the more appealing to them, and he hated it. He hated it even more because he couldn't blame them.

Still, he couldn't deny that she seemed to enjoy their company. He wanted her to have friends, but it was hard when she existed in their world to avoid befriending other idols.

Jin couldn't stand the way it made him feel when Leo touched her. He wanted to smack his hand away instantly, though he knew he couldn't. Winter wasn't theirs to touch, or to buy gifts for.

She laughed and carried on with Jackson, Leo, and N, and Jin tried to keep himself engaged in the conversation. However, he couldn't help but want to leave as soon as possible.

He was relieved when everyone got done eating and decided to part ways for the evening. Winter said her goodbyes, then followed Jackson and Jin to the car.
