Shawn and I ate dinner together that he insisted he cooked. He made a beautiful spaghetti bolognese although I think he was hoping for some lady and the tramp vibe to pop up as he kept on taking my food. Can I have some of your spaghetti?
"Baby, do you want a drink?" Shawn peered his head round the door to our bedroom.
"Can I have tea please?" I smiled.
"Sure." He smiled back and lightly tapped the door as he left the room.
I was laying in bed with my laptop doing some work that was overdue for the riding stables.
"Here you go." Shawn said placing a cup of tea on the cabinet next to me before he crawled over my body to his side of the bed. "Whatcha doing?" He asked dragging out the 'g' with curiosity.
"Work." I huffed. "What are you doing?" I mimicked how he asked me a few moments ago.
"Nothing." He laughed dragging out the 'g' again.
For about another twenty minutes I typed until my fingers were sore and Shawn was either playing with my hair or drawing little circles where my stomach was exposed.
"Done." I said enthusiastically.
I started to close the lid when Shawn's hand shot up suddenly and stopped me.
"Wait." He said and took the laptop from my lap to place it on his as he straightened himself up.
I watched him open up the internet and google holiday sites.
"Going somewhere?" I sniggered as he started to click on check in and out dates.
Shawn turned his head to me and a smile crept upon his face.
"We are." He said.
"What?" I was shocked.
"We are going to Jamaica, Clara."
"Shawn no-"
"Clara yes."
"No, Shawn you don't understand."
He looked confused and slightly worried at the same time.
"If your a nervous fligher, were getting a private jet and-"
Shawn stopped talking when he noticed my mouth dropped already lower than it was and my complexion was as white as a sheet.
"Clara?" He brought a hand to my cheek and cupped it lightly. "Tell me what's wrong sweetie."
"Shawn." I started and looked up at him. I didn't want to let him down or disappoint him but I had to tell him the truth. "I don't have the money to go, I can't afford a holiday right now. I'm sorry if I've disappointed you, I would really love to go b-but I, I just can't."
I stopped breathing as I waited for his response, I hope he isn't going to be upset with me.
Shawn's smile started to grow and he shook his head lightly before looking down at trying to hide his laughter.
"What?" I asked, my heart still in my throat.
"You." He laughed. "I'm paying for you to go."
My mouth dropped again for the third time that day.
"What Shawn? No!" I sat up in bed so I could fully face him.
"Clara, this is a gift from me to you."
"Why though?" I asked.
"Because you deserve it. You've had a rough couple of months and you deserve a break from all the hectic things going on round here."
"I feel bad though, I can't make you pay for me." I said quietly.
"Your not making me. I'm telling you that we're going in two days, so you need to go shopping and get yourself ready to go."
I smiled at Shawn and leant in for a kiss.
"I love you." I whispered pulling away.
Shawn quickly grabbed my waist and pulled me back causing me to straddle him. Shawn knocked the laptop out the way as I moved closer and we started to make out. Shawn was leant against the headboard so I had my hands pressed against his torso, feeling his muscular body beneath me.
"I love you too." He whispered whilst we both caught our breath.
We both soon got tired since we had a long and eventful day and it was now 4am.
"How long we going for?" I asked.
I had my back pressed up against Shawn's stomach and his arms wrapping around me keeping me close to him. His breath running down my neck to my back in a swift motion every couple of seconds.
"How long do you want to go for?"
"Shawn." I sternly asked But was followed by a small giggle.
"I don't know. How about we start with forever?"
"We?" I repeated and turned round so that our faces were now inches apart.
"I love you Clara. I can't imagine my life without you." His eyes were looking straight into mine.
My heart was beating so fast and loud that I thought it was going to burst out of me.
"You have no idea how hard I've fallen for you Shawn." I said back, snuggling my head into his chest.
"Oh I do." He whispered before kissing my head. "Because I've fallen harder."
