Chapter 11

The next morning came round quickly, and my heart started beating faster and faster as I got myself ready. I was wearing my new push up bra with a black crop top and high waisted blue ripped jeans. I had heeled black boots on and I let my hair down loose over my shoulders, revealing my natural wavy locks.
"Is that Ok for whatever we're doing today?" I asked Shawn as I came into the lounge.
Shawn looked up from his phone, he was wearing black skinny jeans with a shirt and suede shoes.
"Perfect." He smiled.
I walked over to him where my phone was resting on the coffee table and picked it up.
"Still shorter than me though." He smirked.
"Not hard to be." I commented.
"How's the weather down there by the way?" He sniggered.
"Stop it." I laughed.
"Sorry you'll have to speak up I can't hear you." He cupped his hand round his ear and I playfully smacked his stomach.
"Ow." He stuck out his bottom lip.
"Looks like I need to teach you manners after all." I smiled and put my phone in my back pocket.
"Come on, we better go." Shawn said shaking his head whilst laughing and put his hand on my lower back leading me out the door.
We went to his car and we both got in, Shawn let me plug in my phone to the aux lead and I played my music and he seemed to like it.
We entered the highway and we talked and laughed and sung the time away until we reached a town just outside of Toronto city.
"So what's here?" I asked looking out the window.
"Well there's a concert here tonight but I had a thought that we would pay a visit to my parents and sister who live here." He said smiling looking at me quickly then back at the road.
"You want me to meet your family?" I asked confused.
"No of course not, your going to wait in the car." He said sarcastically and he put his hand on my thigh giving it a gentle squeeze.
"What if they don't like me?" I asked worriedly.
"They'll love you, trust me."
The fact that Shawn had brought me to his parents got me thinking about what it was between us. Was last night just a one time thing or was Shawn falling for me? Because I had fallen for him and boy had I fallen hard.
"You coming?" Shawn invaded my thoughts.
I looked up and saw we were outside a house on a street.
"Yeah." I said unbuckling and and getting out the car to meet Shawn outside. "I'm not dressed right, I've never met them, they're your parents, what if I say something embarrassing or what if-"
"What if you just stop babbling and enjoy the moment?" Shawn chuckled and placed both his hands on my shoulders stopping us just outside the door. He looked from my eyes to my lips quickly and he placed his lips against mine.
We heard the door open and we both quickly pulled apart trying to look innocent.
"Shawn!" A woman with blonde hair opened the door with a huge smile on her face and quickly embraced Shawn into a hug.
"Hi Ma." Shawn said as he hugged her, having to bend down. "This is my friend Clara, remember the girl I was telling you about."
Shawn had told her about me? Wait he said friends? Does that mean he doesn't like me more than that?
"Clara this is Karen my mom." Shawn introduced us and Karen gave me a tight hug.
"And this is my dad, Manny." Shawn gave a quick hug to his dad who had dark hair and gave me a wave as he was stood inside behind Karen.
"It's so lovely to meet you." I smiled at them both.
"And you my dear! Come on inside." She held the door open and Shawn and I both walked inside which was cosy as a fire roared and the room was aesthetically pleasing.
"Hey bro!" A young girl came skipping through the kitchen with hair similar to mine.
"Hey sis!" Shawn smiled and picked up the girl as he spun her round in a hug. "This Aaliyah my little sister."
"Shawn always talks about you." She giggles whilst giving me a smile.
"Interesting." I gave Shawn a look who was glaring at his little sister.
"All good things though." Aaliyah said redeeming herself as Shawn's eyes softened.
We ate lunch with them which Karen had cooked and Shawn and I helped a little whilst I got to know his family. Once we had all finished eating Karen started to pick up the plates and I rose from my seat starting to help.
"No dear your the guest! Please sit down." She smiled.
"No please, I insist." I said picking up Shawn's place beside me.
Karen and I walked into the kitchen leaving the others in the separate room to talk amongst themselves. We talked between us as we packed the dishwasher and cleaned the surfaces.
"Clara I must say something to you." Karen said once we finished and we sat on the stools on the island. I nodded as permission for her to continue. "Shawn told me what happened to you at the hospital." She paused and my eyes looked away from hers for a brief moment composing myself. "Including your mother and as a mother myself I can't imagine what your going through hunny. I want you to know you can always come to me if you can't talk to Shawn about something. His home is your home and I want you to feel comfortable."
She had my hands in hers gripping them tightly as she spoke.
"Thankyou Karen, I really appreciate that." I smiled and we both hugged before returning to the dining room.
We all chatted for about another hour before Shawn and I left to meet Geoff at a concert.
The concert wasn't very big just a small audience that was exclusive and I was invited as Shawn's guest. It was wrapped up within a couple of hours and I took a nap in Shawn's car as we drove back home. I felt the car come to a stop and I felt the proximity between Shawn and I close. Suddenly lips were attached to mine and at first I didn't kiss back unsure of what Shawn was doing. I started to move my lips in sync with his and his hand came to my cheek deepening the kiss. It wasn't as fiery as last night, probably because we were in a car but it was still special. We both exited his car and as we made our way up to his condo he took my hand in his.
"Thankyou for today Shawn, I really enjoyed myself."
"Told you you had nothing to worry about, they loved you." He said whilst he unlocked the door.
We both walked in and I pulled off my boots leaving them besides Shawn's and then entering the bedroom. I took a shower after removing my makeup and then got into one of Shawn's shirts with my bralette and panties on underneath.
"Are you going to bed?" Shawn asked poking his head into the room whilst I brushed my hair up into a bun.
"Yeah I'm quite tired, are you?" I asked flipping my head down making it easier to do my hair.
I didn't get a reply but instead felt Shawn come up behind me pulling my body back up to be against his. He took my hands from my hair and he took over, gently pulling the strands up into a bun.
"Your really beautiful Clara."
I started blushing and a smile crept along my face as Shawn kissed my neck, his hands on my hips. I tilted my head allowing more access to my skin and he started to kiss my sweet spot like yesterday.
"I'll be in soon, I just need to finish off a few things." He whispered in my ear and quietly left the room.
I retired under the covers and scrolled through my Instagram feed as I hadn't been on it for a few days. A notification popped up saying Shawn had just posted and I clicked on it, seeing it already had thousands of likes and comments. I looked at the photo and I swear my heart skipped a beat. It was a photo of both our shoes at the door where I had left them an hour ago. The fans were going crazy as they commented asking if he had a girlfriend, even his sister had commented with a winky face. Tomorrow I would have to ask him. Ask him if he felt the same way I did.
