(A/N: Hai guys! Just wanna say that you might, you might not, get less updates on this as I have started a horror FanFic about SSundee called: It's The Eyes. I've got a TON of ideas for it so I'll hopefully be updating that one quite often! Sorry if this will inconvenience anyone, but...yeah! Enjoy ma doods! 😉)
~Ssundee~ I ran through the jungle, Lancey just ahead of me. Behind us the enraged roars of the Wither shook my sunglasses and rattled my bones. Lancey skidded to a halt and started scaling a nearby tree while I stood guard at the base of it's trunk and clenched my sword, trying to emit a hostile aura. I yelped as a Wither head hit the ground near me and exploded, wood splinters flying everywhere. I dived to the side as 3 more hit the tree where I was standing seconds before. Lancey thrust down a vine for me and I leapt upwards and grabbed it. I watched as the Wither took careful aim, then threw a head. It skimmed my toes and exploded against the tree, nearly throwing me off the vine. "Lancey! Hurry up!" Another head flew past and my eyes widened as it came closer and closer. Then, I was up and over the tree-top canopy. I stood up shakily as the Wither howled in fury and slowly made its way back the way we'd come. I turned to Lancey. His bandana was slightly askew and his clothes looked even more torn than normal. I picked a twig out of my hair. "Well, we're alive at least." He nodded. I looked round. In front of us the colossal expanse of the jungle canopy stretched out to the horizon. "It didn't look this far before..." I muttered. Lancey smiled, and without warning sprung off of the leaves. "Lancey!" I went to the edge of the tree. He was waiting down below. "C'mon!" I sighed. "Time for some serious parkour in that case." I took a running jump and felt my feet leave the tree-top. I was falling through the air. Leaves batted at my clothes and my eyes were wide open as I stared at the drop below me. Before I even had time to cry out, I'd landed next to Lancey. "Ouch." Lancey grinned. "You'll get used to it!" I followed him to the edge of the tree. "Ladies first." He gestured to me. "Shut up." I retorted and jumped off again. This carried on until nightfall. By this time my limbs were aching and I could barely walk. "This way." Lancey pulled me along into a sheltered canopy. He pulled a few branches down over the top of us and formed a sort of den. I collapsed in the middle of it on the soft, jungle leaves. I turned to Lancey. "How long till we reach 'em?" He sighed. "Probably a day or two." I nodded and lay down, staring at the leaves rustling in the gentle breeze above. Soon the soothing jungle sounds and Lancey's steady breathing caused me to drift off to sleep...
~Derp~ We'd left the jungle earlier that day; journeying on to the mountains rearing up from the horizon line. Now, Sky, Husky and I were resting in a cave, hidden away from prying eyes. Ty was on guard outside; a solitary statue in the dark mouth of the cave. I sat up and stared at him. He seemed...different these days. Noiselessly, I stood up and padded over to join him; sitting down next to him, we both stared out at the green blur of the jungle before us. "Hey." I nudged him. He turned to me. His face was gaunt and wreathed in shadows; dark eyes staring mournfully out at me. "What's the matter?" I asked. He sighed. "I'm just wondering...how much longer can we keep this up for?" I tilted my head to the side. "I-I don't understand-" "This war has taken so much from us...and there's more to come. So much more." I stared at the ground. "Can I tell you something?" "What?" I sighed. "Ssundee's following us." Ty chuckled. "I know, he just can't leave it alone, can he?" I smiled. "He's so determined." Ty's happiness melted away. "He's trying to prove himself. We all are..." "Prove what?" He turned to me, his eyes burning with a fierce fire. "That we're not going down without a fight." I smiled grimly. "Well, I'll try my best to live up to that." He smiled back. "That would be nice." Then his head snapped upwards as he stared out into the dark night. I strained my ears to listen. Then I heard it. A distant shriek. Ty stood up and gestured for me to follow him. I went back to retrieve my iron sword as Ty woke up Sky and Husky. The four of us crept out of the cave and stood in tense silence, waiting. Then we heard it again. A muted screech that chilled me to the bone. Suddenly, I heard a different noise. A shout of fury and anger. A challenge. "IT'S THEM!" Before my brain had time to catch up my legs were carrying me in the direction of the jungle. I could hear dull thumps behind me; the others had come to the same terrible conclusion. Ssundee was under attack.
~Ssundee~ Lancey and I were under attack. I'd woken up to the sound of a loud shriek. Bolting upright I stared fearfully at Lancey as he backed away slowly from the monstrosity in the doorway. It stepped into a pool of moonlight and I gasped in horror. A dark skinned, slimy body with tentacles sprouting from its left side (where an arm would be) had been crudely conjoined with a human body. The human arm was wielding an enchanted diamond sword. The creature was dressed in some sort of suit. It was ripped and torn; mere shreds of clothing. Then my eyes trailed up to its face and I understood why Lancey was so terrified. On one side was a squid's face, grey-blue skin stretched tight with strain. And on the other was a humanoid face; blue eyes staring at me with a mixture of fear and bloodlust. My blue eyes. Somehow, Herobrine had managed to get some of my DNA and used it to create a Ssundee/squid hybrid! I was horrified, even more so when the human side morphed slightly and the eyes rolled upwards and outwards. We were now facing a derpy hybrid. If I knew Derp, and I did, when he went into what he called 'killing mode', nothing would get in his way and escape alive. Lancey and I drew our swords simultaneously, backing away from the hybrid. "It's a Ssuid!" I stared at Lancey. "Really, now, as we're about to die, now you decide to make up stupid nicknames for the thing that Herobrine has created to kill me." Lancey shrugged. "Hey, I'm hyper. Plus, as we're about to die, I might as well get a laugh out of it!" I shook my head. The 'Ssuid' stared at us. Absentmindedly, I wondered if it had feelings, or at least some regard for human frailty. Lancey grimaced, then grabbed my arm and severed a vine above us. Suddenly, the leafy floor dropped out from beneath us and we were plunged downwards, to our deaths. "For the record-" I yelled over the wind whistling in our ears, "I blame you for this!" I shut my eyes tight and tried to ignore the fact I was about to die from fall damage.
Strangley, my last thought would've been, ~I only wish I could've lived that future life with Derp.~ Then, we jerked to a halt. I opened one eye a crack. "You've gotta be kidding me." Lancey was grinning as we hung in mid-air. We'd been stopped at the last minute by him grabbing a nearby vine which had ground us to a halt 2 chunks off of the ground. I turned to him. "You did that on purpose! You I knew what you were doing the whole time!" He nodded. "So?" I scowled back at him. He shook his head, muttering something about 'no sense of humour.' We dropped to the ground. I stared up into the treetops, trying to find the Ssuid. He'd dissapeared. I was unnerved. It just wasn't natural to mix two species together. ~Coming from the guy who used to talk to another guy in his head.~ I facepalmed and turned to glare at Lancey. "I swear, if I wasn't so desperate, I'd-" "Yeah yeah Romeo, let's go find your boyfriend." I would've slapped him then and there if the Ssuid hadn't got there first. It plummeted from the tree-tops and landed on top of Lancey, it's miss-matched features contorted in anger and fury. Lancey shrieked again in alarm before fainting and falling to the ground. Rolling my eyes, I drew my sword, yelling a challenge. The Ssuid turned to me, slowly climbing off of Lancey's unmoving frame and standing up to face me. "Come at me!" It held up its diamond sword and came at me. Just as it came forth with its first strike something shot out of the jungle bushes and cannonballed into it. "Get away from my Ssundee!" "Derp?!" I looked round in disbelief as Sky, Husky and Ty crashed through the bushes behind him and brought the Ssuid to the ground. I ran to Lancey and checked his pulse. He was good. Just acting like a wimp...no change there then. I stood up as Derp finished bashing the Ssuid's head into the ground and looked at me. I smiled as his familiar crooked eyes stared at me, wide-eyed. A sinking feeling countered my happiness though as I studied the scars on his broken face. He stood up and walked over to me. We hugged and I heard him sigh in contentment. I grinned. Sky walked over to us. "Well. I can't say I didn't expect you not to follow orders." I shrugged. "I can't help myself." To my surprise he grinned. "I know. That's why I did." Husky walked over to Lancey and checked his vitals briefly. "He's good." I nodded, resting my chin on Derp's head. Ty stood up and I stiffened as he raised his sword, ready to kill the Ssuid. "Wait." He looked at me. "What?" I gestured to the defenceless Ssuid. "Didn't kill him. He can tell us what Herobrine is planning." Ty scowled at me. "But-" Sky gave him a slight nod and he sighed. "Fine." He walked off, not before giving the Ssuid a kick as it lay on the ground. I tightened my hold on Derp. "I love you." I felt him smile. "Love you too Ssundee..."
(A/N: Yay! They've been reunited! Hope you've enjoyed doods! Squeaks! 😎)
