I was hanging by the makeup area, Brie and Renee talking about their plans for the weekend. Of course I smiled and played along but it didn't feel the same.. I used to join in on the conversation and talk about my nights with John. But in all honesty, my nights with John aren't the same.

In the beginning we used to have romantic dinners and talk about our future but now, they seem cold and distant. And now all John seems to want to talk about is work and Roman. Roman.

"What about you, Nikki? Any special plans?" I smiled and shook my head "No, John and I are just a little too busy trying to make it here on Raw." Brie scofffed "Nikki, you can't be serious. You and John? You haven't had a match since Wrestlmania. And John seems too busy with the whole Roman situation."

Roman again. I nodded as I felt my head thump at the sound of his name. Our last conversation still fresh in my mind. After all these months of remembering the past, I should hate him. But the more that I think and the more that I hear about him, it makes me feel a whole different feeling.

Renee touched my arm, dragging me from my thoughts. "I gotta go do an interview so I'll see you guys later." Both Brie and I said okay and waved her goodbye. Brie turned to me "You guys aren't fooling anyone, you know?"

I turned towards her "What do you mean?" Brie rolled her eyes and opened her mouth to say something but she stopped when Kurt approached us. "Hey girls."

"Hey Kurt, what's up?" He smiled "Nothing but Nikki, as Raw general manager I know that you're dying to be in action so how about a match against Dana next week?" I felt my heart swell at the thought of getting back in the ring.

"Yes! Of course, I'll be ready." He nodded "Good." He turned to walk away but I grabbed his arm, gently. "Kurt, have you seen John? I have to thank for talking to you about giving me a match."

He looked at me, confused "John didn't talk to me about giving you any match. Roman did." My brain buzzed in anger and confusion. "Roman?" "Yes, everything okay?" I nodded and smiled, as I always do. "Yes, perfect. Thank you."

I watched as he walked away, confused. I turned towards Brie. "I'll see you later, I, uh, have to figure something out."
