Chapter 2

Jacob

I’m staring out of the rocket’s windows when my top officer calls to me.

“Commander, we’ve found the location of the lost ship.” Drex shouts from the operating room.

“Where is it?” I ask, walking in the room.

“In the southern ocean, off the coast of the landform they call ‘Antarctica’.”

“Does it still work?” I look at the holographic photographs taken by the space scouts.

“What, do you think its waterproof?” one snarky officer points out. There is a snap, and the officer whimpers.

“Actually, there is a faint signal- the faintest of faint –coming from the ship,” Drex says, bringing up more holographic diagrams.

“Keep quiet, officer,” I say coldly to the worker whose finger I had snapped telepathically. He cringes when I turn his way. “Take him away.”

“Yes sir!” I turn back to the holograms.

            Then Andrea walks in.

“Do we have the old ship used by the traitors located?” she asks.

“We just found it. It’s still sending out a very small homing signal,” I report.

“I thought our systems were being rebooted for the next few days,” Andrea looks at me warily.

“Our helpful computer girl here hacked into an earthling’s electricity and is feeding the transmissions through it.”

Andrea gives me a small, rare smile. “That’s my Jake- so resourceful,” she says.

I brush off her praise quickly. “Now we can finally find those traitors, and crush their newborn generation,” I snarl to myself.
