I groaned as my phone vibrated yet again. God it's like 1 pm, people are sleeping here! Some people just have no respect.

"Will you turn that stupid phone off!" Calum grumbled from the bottom of my bed. He was supposed to be staying at one of the band's house last night but ended up sleeping over at my house instead.

Mumbling profanities to myself, I reached over and unplugged my phone. It had died last night at the wedding so I hadn't checked it in hours. My eyes widened when I saw 5 missed calls and 8 messages all from Austin.

Austin: Hey look I'm really sorry for what I said. I honestly didn't mean in. Can we talk when you're free please?

Austin: Remember to text me when you get home so I know you're safe,

Austin: I've tried to call you but it's going to voicemail, are you okay?

Austin: Violet are you home yet?

Austin: Calum isn't home either so I cant even ask him if you got home safe, please call me so I know you're not dead somewhere.

Austin: Violet it's like 10 in the morning and you still haven't responded, call me! I know you're annoyed and that's fine but I want to know if you're okay

Austin: Violet!

The last message, and the one that had woke me up, was sent a few minutes ago.

Austin: Violet if you don't text me back or call me in the next 10 minutes I'm coming over.

Wow... I sort of felt bad. I mean I know I was a little angry with him but I also know how stressed I would be if I was in Austin's shoes, I'd be worried too.

I dragged myself out of bed and to the bathroom so I could call him back. He picked up almost immediately.

"Violet this better be you and not someone calling to ask me to identify a body,"

"Oh don't be so dramatic," I laughed rolling my eyes.

I could practically hear Austin's breath of relief as he heard my voice.

"Well it's good to know you're not dead," he deadpanned.

"My phone died and I got in late so slept in, your text actually woke me up,"

"Can we talk today?"

"We're talking now?"

"No I mean can we talk in person? Can I come over?"

"Sure," I said, nervously playing with the bottom of my shorts. I wasn't furious with him. I knew he didn't mean what he said and it just slipped out but Robyn was my best friend so I was extra defensive about her. Then again Austin seemed to like Robyn so why would he want to say something nasty about her, especially when he knew that would upset me too. I was just so confused.

"Okay, I'll be there soon," he replied before ending the call.

Since I was already in the bathroom I brushed my teeth and washed my face to wake myself up a little. When I walked back into my room Calum was scrolling through his phone. I jumped on the bed besides him, startling him.
