Epilogue

Authors note: Okay this was actually one of my favourite chapters I have ever wrote so enjoy

6 years later

Five minutes left.

I could hear my heart pounding.

Four minutes left.

I clenched my fist, digging my nails into my palms.

Three minutes left.

I bounced my knees up and down with nervousness.

Two minutes left.

My breathing was unsteady.

One minute left.

I closed my eyes tightly.

The buzzer went off signaling the end of the game and I flew from my seat with a cheer. The whole stadium was electric as people started to scream and shout.

He did it!

Immediately Austin caught my eye and I blew him a kiss, unable to keep the huge smile off of my face. Reporters were trying to get his attention, already shoving a microphone in his face and trying to ask him question but the minute we made eye contact he turned on his heels and jogged towards me, pulling me into an embrace. This was a lot harder to do due to my huge belly getting in the way.

That's right, your girl is going to have a baby!!!

I threw my arms around Austin's neck, pulling him even closer to me. "You did amazing! I am so proud of you,"

Austin gave me a goofy smile. "I love you," he smiled, his hands finding my very pregnant belly. Nine months pregnant, ready to pop next week belly.

"I love you too, so so much,"

Austin placed a kiss on my lips before he was pulled away. "Come on Austin they want an interview," his coach said.

Austin rolled his eyes before pulling me into his side and making his way over to the cameras.

"Austin nooo," I wined. I hated being with him for his interviews, it was so awkward. "No one wants me there,"

"Well I want you there,"

Now it was my turn to roll my eyes. I was about to reply but a reporter was quickly in front of Austin, a huge smile on his face.

"Austin congratulations you have just won the national basketball championship! How do you feel?"

"I feel fantastic! I'm so proud of the whole team, we all worked together and gave it our all and it shows,"

"What about the rumor that you're going to be captain next season,"

Austin chuckled. "I guess we'll just have to see what happens,"

I smirked. Austin was going to be captain next season but it was still on the down low. We were both so happy when we found out but it felt like we had been keeping the secret in forever.

How long ago did he find out? It was about... I looked down at my belly and held in a laugh. Yup, about nine months ago.

It seems like Austin had the same thoughts as me, I could see the cheeky smile wanting to come out as he pulled me even closer into his side.

"And you're going to be a dad very soon too!"

Austin's smile got impossibly bigger. That was something I noticed regularly. Austin loved talking about me and our baby, his whole face seemed to light up when he did and it was hard to get him to shut up.
