"Doc, kamusta na siya?"sabi ko at napatayo ako agad nang lumabas si Doc. Gascon.

Pinakawalan muna ni doktora ang isang buntong hininga at saka siya umiling bago nagsalita at sinagot ang tanong ko.

"She didn't tell anyone, did she?"

Napakunot ang noo ko nang tanungin ako ni doktora ng ganoon. Hindi sinabi ang alin? Hindi ko gets, promise!

"Is Thunder coming?"sunod na tanong ni doktora nang hindi ko nasagot agad ang tanong niya.

"Yeah, maybe. Hindi ko po alam but I contacted him to come over."

"Jester, I know Sunny and I had a non disclosure agreement about her case but I think you also need to know about this."panimula ni doc.

Parang echo sa tenga ko ang rebelasyon na sinabi ni doktora sa akin. Paanong nangyari yon? Sunny is a tough woman. I know it myself of course!

"Paano? Bakit?"mahinang tanong ko.

Isang malaking buntong hininga muna ang pinakawalan niya bago niya ako sinagot.

"Heart failure or to more specific, Sunny has cardiomyopathy. She had undergone series of tests like heart transplant but-----"

"Wait wait wait doc. Is this for real? The Sunny I know has a strong heart. I mean she's healthy. How come she became weak?"naguguluhan paring tanong ko.

"I just wish I can comfort you, Jester. But life is really unfair and it's not Sunny's fault that her family has history of it."

"Wala na bang ibang paraan doc just to save her?"

Fuck! She's still young! I may be gay but my tears will really fall down anytime right now.

"We're trying to prolong her life, Jester. Trust me we are really trying everything-----"

"Don't just try doc! Do it! Please doc. Save her."hindi ko napigilang mapalakas ang boses ko.

"We are doing it, Jester. Believe me, we are doing everything. But I have only one request."

"Ano yun doc?"

"Please try to persuade Sunny to go back in U.S. Basically, she really doesn't want to continue with her medication kaya siya bumalik ng Pilipinas. Jester, she may lose her life here. Pero kung babalik siya ng Amerika, alam ko madami silang pwedeng gawin para mas mapahaba ang buhay niya."

"Kakabalik lang niya doc. I don't think I can do it."

"Jester, I know you can do something. She can't survive here. I'm her doctor here before she went to U.S. for medication and I know what can happen to her kapag nanatili pa siya dito."

Wait. So it all make sense to me now. Iniwan ni Sunny ang lahat dahil sa sakit niya. Bakit hindi niya sinabi kay Thunder? I'm sure he will understand it.
