Chapter One - School Begins

BRRRRRIIIIIINNNNGGGGGG!
"Just five more minutes!" Erin muttered into the pillow, blindly reaching out for source of the annoying noise.
BRRRRRIIIIIINNNNGGGGGG!
Erin's head snapped up. She slammed the off button on her iPod alarm and glanced at the time sleepily. 8:35 am.
"Oh crap I'm gonna be late!" Erin woke up immediately and jumped out of bed. She pulled on any tee and skirt, rushing out of her room. She thundered down the stairs making as much noise as she could to wake everyone else besides her up.
"Ed! Winry! Guys wake up its late!" she called through the house so loud that it shook. Erin ran into the kitchen and there, she found her friends with amused expressions on their faces. Ed was at the table having yet another silent battle with his glass of milk, while Winry stood by the toaster spreading jam over her wholemeal toast. Erin suddenly felt quite stupid.

"Um, morning." Winry said.

"We meet again you little bastard! I'm not going to drink you!" Edward hissed at the glass of milk, which was standing innocently upon the table.
"Why didn't you guys wake me up?!" Erin asked, sounding a little more outraged then she wanted to.
"You told us not to, remember?" Winry said, taking her toast to the table and sitting opposite of Ed. "Yesterday you said you'll wake up yourself." She finished.
Erin traced her mind back to that day and, truly enough; found that she had told Ed and Winry not to wake her.
"Oh right sorry guys." Erin said, and then suddenly remembered how late it was. "Oh my god it's 8:40! We're gonna be so late!"
Ed's head perked up at earing this, and he ceased mentally beating up his glass of milk.
"Well I don't want detention!" he said, picking up his bag off the floor and heading for the door.
"See you two at the door!" he called from the corridor.
Winry grabbed her last piece of toast and shoved it in her mouth, jumping up and running after Edward.
"Hey wait for me!"Erin shouted and pounded through the house after her two best friends and taking her school bag off the hanger as she passed it on the way to the front door.

"Did we have any Geography homework?" Erin asked as she dug through her bag on the way to school.
"I'm not sure, but I don't think I'm in your class anyways." Ed answered. Jo finally found her lip gloss and applied it to her lips.
"Hey, can I see that?" Winry asked.
"Sure" Erin passed her make up to her friend across Ed.
"Why do I walk with you guys?" Edward asked himself.
"Because you're our adorable shrimp!" Winry smiled, handing the lip gloss back to Erin.
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A SHRIMP THAT YOU COULD SQUASH WITH ONE FINGER?!?!?!" Ed screamed. Being called tiny, let alone shrimp, was one thing he hated more than milk. Winry took a huge wrench out of her bag.
"Don't scream at me!" she hissed, pointing the gigantic tool at Edward's face. Ed laughed nervously and gulped.
"Ok Ok Ok! Please put that away!"
Winry grinned and put the wrench back in her bag.
"Why do you even carry that thing around?" Ed asked as they started walking.
"To fix you're automail. Do I have to remind you how many times you've broken it during gym class?" Winry inquired. "You're with me Erin?"
"Always mah friend!" Erin laughed. The trio came to the gates and made their way to their first class of the day. The sunny crisp September morning was filled with the chatter of students as they made their way to class.

The classroom was filled with students. Paper balls flew across the room. The atmosphere was full of laughter and chatter. Erin dumped her bag on her desk and sat down on top of the table, sighing heavily. Ed plopped down beside her.
"Cheer up!" he said, nudging her with an elbow. But Erin didn't notice. She was too busy staring at the door to the class.
"What? You scared the teacher will walk in?" Ed chuckled. "You don't usually care!"
"There he is!" Erin said, grabbing Edward's arm and gesturing to the door. A student walked in. He had long green hair and bandana, which earned him the nickname 'palm tree', a black vest, jeans and a black school bag. He looked around the class before making his way to his seat.
"He's so cute." Erin said dreamily, seemingly not even noticing Ed or Winry.
"Hey Ed what's up?" Al asked coming up to the three friends.
"Hey Al! Why did you come to school so early?" Winry asked.
"Revision. We have a test tomorrow." Edward's brother stated. Winry slapped her forehead.
"That's what it was! I knew I was forgetting something!"
Al suddenly noticed that Erin was completely oblivious to her surroundings.
"What's with Erin?"  
"She's gone cookoo over the palm tree." Ed grinned.
Winry giggled. She, Ed and Al all turned and looked in the direction in which Erin was staring. Envy blew out his bubblegum and let it pop, then started chewing it again. His feet were resting upon the table and he had earphones in his ears as he played around with his green iPod. Envy noticed the little group of friends and brothers staring at him and turned to look at them and stopped chewing. He took one earphone out of his ear and shrugged.

"What?"
"Nothing!" Erin quickly said, turning away blushing like crazy. The rest of her friends turned away in unison.
"Someone's in love!" Winry teased Erin, nudging her in the side. "Why do you like him? Is it because he's taller than Ed?"
"Shut up!" Edward threw a book at her. Winry just laughed and batted the book away with her handy-take-you-everywhere-with-me wrench. The door suddenly slammed open, hitting the wall behind it with tremendous force. Envy looked up from his iPod. Winry stopped harassing Ed about his height. Ed stopped beating her with a book. Even Gluttony stopped stuffing his face with other people's lunch. The classroom fell silent and everyone looked at the doorway as another student walked in.

"That's what I thought!"

i just took all the fullmetal alchemist characters and put them into a high school senario, with the state alchemists (Roy Mustang etc) as the teachers...with the addition of my OC Erin and awesomness87's OC Dawn :) pls enjoy!!
